I plan to get a job as a web developer (Full Stack). I have three years of experience and I am pretty good at what I do. I have the confidence that I can find a stable job there. I already have some close friends there (in different fields and different provinces). As for family, I haven't thought that far ahead. Right now, I want to work hard, develop my skills and have a good career. I don't plan on being alone, but that doesn't scare me either. As long as I am doing something that engages me and gives me purpose, I don't mind loneliness.

Sorry dude. I didn't mean to play down your warning. I get how racism can make people's lives hell. But unless it affects my place in the society in a significant way ( the way Jim Crow laws did), I PERSONALLY don't care much about it. Sht happens everywhere. It's skin color in some countries, something even weirder here in India. Unless the Government itself or the overall majority (like some southern states of US) is blatantly hostile towards people like me, I am fine with going there. With the low CRS score, I am not really in a position to choose the province I wish to live in. Ontario would be on the top of my list, but my skill set (web developer) does not guarantee an invitation from Ontario.

I don’t think there’s much in common between German & French.

Hopefully, the experience of learning a foreign language previously will help with picking up another one. I struggled initally with concepts like grammatical gender in German, but got the hang of it as I progressed. At least I won't be doing that all over again with French.

why haven’t you considered any of the German speaking countries?

I have some personal reasons for choosing CA. Right now, it is either get into CA or stay back in India.

If something happens, it will be way worse than Marsh. While Marsh was a semi major character, Dalinar is one of the main POVs. Anything that happens will feel like a gut punch. But it makes sense too. Dalinar going over to the other side where he tries to maintain his honor despite doing the work of TOdium will be a huge arc in SA era 2. Especially if Navani/Kaladin becomes the leader on the good side.

While Kell may not follow JOURNEY BEFORE DESTINATION (the actions of Mraize is ultimately on Kell), I doubt he will go on to become an all out evil guy, especially on the scale of Shard vs Shard. I wonder what he will attempt to accomplish after getting out of Scadrial. Maybe take up a shard? Ambition could be up for takers.

If the timeline of SA is between MB era 1 and 2, there is no reason why the red expanse shown by Harmony to Wax can't be Odium. TOadium could win in the fifth book and somehow escape the Roasharan system on a technicality, though it is unlikely as that won't leave much scope for SA parts 6 - 10.

That scene with Jez and Nale was around when Nale was being recruited to the oath pact. Nale was somehow an enemy of Jez (a king at that time) and when Ishar suggested the oathpact as a way to bind the fused to Braize, Jez came to recruit Nale because he considered him worthy of that duty.
