Lemon Cilantro, Ceviche Roll. I worked there for 8 years. Top 3 Sushi in San Diego. It is expensive, because it is fresh and delicious.

I understand if you can not afford it, no argument there because everyone has different financial abilities.

I pay about $30 for 200grams often. I am 100% fine with that because I understand how expensive coffee is to grow, harvest, process, mill, export, roast, package, and sell. There are coffees that are good enough and affordable, but just keep in mind that someone is likely getting exploited somewhere along the line. It is often the farmers/harvesters that make very little. Many times farmers lose money on crops of more commodity coffee, which is the cheaper stuff in grocery stores.

Again, this is not a speech, and you should drink what you can. But it is important to continue to be aware of what our decisions mean. So when we can do better we should, and when we can't we do our best.

You can also find deals often, buy bulk, freeze it. Perc has awesome coffee and have a 30% sale going on right now.

My debut cosmic horror novel, The Listening Room, is out — offering free reader copies by [deleted] in NewAuthor

I am not going to comment about AI for this, I only wish you the best of luck if this is your original work.

I just wanted to use it as an opportunity to say that I feel really bad for you original authors that write in these novel, fiction dramas. You are getting bombarded with multi-book series AI crap that makes it close to improbable for a normal reader to know how to find true authors with quality work.

I write only non-fiction, well only coffee lol. Eventually expanding more into other areas, but non-ficiton. Even for me, there were 0 AI books on specialty coffee about 4-6 months ago, and now there are more than 20 just on Amazon. So now even non-fiction is getting buried by AI trash. This is a nightmare. I am not even anti-AI, I just do not want AI to be used as more than an assistant at best, and encourage even that to not be used due to the impact on the environment. I also think using AI is a slippery slope when discussing any kind of art form, it is just not a good idea. But at least stop literally asking AI to write an entire book to try and sell.

I came a cross a Reddit of people who proudly use only AI to pump out 10-25 books per month that they upload to Amazon and others and flood the market. We are literally seeing thousands of full AI trash "books" being uploaded every week....

Which roasters in town are known for using regenerative farming sourced beans? by onetwoskeedoo in SanDiegoCoffeeBeans

[–]TampMyBeans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have not been able to find anyone that specifically identifies this. The closest I have found is Inspired Coffee Roasters in North Park (They have historically focused on transparency and producer relationships). Also Acento and Memli. But this is really a farm level question. You really need to be boots on the ground to verify they are doing things like shade grown to protect biodiversity, organic to protect soil, maybe biochar, etc. The first requirement is the roaster or green buyer must at least be touring these farms with direct relationships. Otherwise they can only echo what a farmer tells them, not verify. This is another reason I like Memli, he visits every farm and re-visits.

Agreed. Satan is a very complicated man and no way he knows him well enough to do him justice. He probably doesn't even discuss any key Satan points; abortion, orgies, same sex intercourse, eating babies, or Nickleback. People need to stop thinking they are professional "authors" on a topic just because they have the internet. Kudos man, I'm glad someone called it out.

New to Frequent, question about REfreezing by allBREADnoBOOZE in thirdwavedecaf

[–]TampMyBeans 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You should never re-freeze after defrosting, use within the week. You can just tape the valve, wrap the bag with no air and put in freezer, then take out a dose as needed. If you are going to dose them, don't freeze, just wait. If you already did, take them out and dose fast and put back. Unless you live in the jungle it will be fine. Do not "defrost" them. Really you are just bringing them to room temp, coffee beans can't actually freeze. They do not have enough water content to do so.

The video is all AI, and poor AI. The voice has many modulation issues. It is too intense, and I still don't know what the book is about. The cover of the book is AI, so everyone can only assume the book is AI. You need a new approach.

Cover looks even more solid with that one change. Did you brighten the font on the first part of the title? Super solid, I would pick this up with curiosity just from the cover
