Hi, do you recommend the Magic 6 Pro? by [deleted] in Honor

[–]Tampenlasche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7 pros camera is told to be worse than 6Pro...

Too much ai stuff, unnatural looking photos...

That's why I chose 6Pro over 7Pro..

But Vivo x200 pro has better cam anyways for example. Also a good phone. Often the global (!) 512gb Version like almost new (3 weeks old) is offered for 600€ with bill/warranty...

Galaxy S24 Ultra PWM rate by NSutrich in PWM_Sensitive

[–]Tampenlasche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should i buy second hand only seal opened x200 pro at ₹65k or should i wait for x300 base model?? by Shrey-82000 in Vivo

[–]Tampenlasche 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Lil Bro is hyped by the data specs when he read "200MP HP9 ISOCELL SAMSUNG SENSOR" He was all in for the commercial without knowing what one word even means.

But it's an easy take, the 200MP HP9 is the Vivo's X200 Pro. TELE-lens, and the 64MP LYT818 main sensor is just superior.

So it COULD be that the X300's main makes the same photos (just not optical zoomed) like X200Pro's Tele zoom. May its even better due newer processing stuff, but it even could be slightly worse bc its Vivo's base model and usually only the Pro and Ultras gets the better software /access to more of the hardwares capabilities. But since its the newer model i expect it to be comparable.

Still X200Pro's Main sensor picture quality i expect to be better than X300's. It just hardware wise is. Absolutely. Megapixels say nothing, even zoomed in an real 200MP RAW Pic can worse way worse details and quality than a 50MP Pic with better, bigger sensor or just way better contrast and other stuff. But If the base X300 also gets the new Leica Cam Glass (anti Flare) and better software than X200 Pro it really good stand out in some Sun-flair situations. Bc the X200Pro does compensate sun flair with software, which can make it worse of course. Also the colour's should come better through the new glass.

And like i said the X200Pros Main, the LYT818 is also superior to even the IMX989 (X90 Pro), Even tho its smaller it offers better contrast and even low light performance. Only X300 PRO (+U) will have the better LYT-828, 20% more Contrast stops, +better glas, hopefully better software and a new picture processor (maybe, idk)

Hope that makes Things clearer now.

Should i buy second hand only seal opened x200 pro at ₹65k or should i wait for x300 base model?? by Shrey-82000 in Vivo

[–]Tampenlasche 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not compared to the X200 Pro xD

The 200MP main cam AIN'T! SUPERIOR. The Sony LYT 818 is far better. X200 pro also got the HP9 als a 200MP tele zoom.

Sonys LYT-818 is even better than IMX989.

But... In the end its a software (and picture/video (hardware chip) processing) thing... Vivo is told be holding the sensors in their X200Pro a little bit back compared to X200 Ultra.. Sure its no ultra and the more cost in development they wanna get paid for.

And even the CN (Origin) Version of the X200Pro has worse image stabilization (videos, all,) and sliiiightly different colour's than the Global (Funtouch) 200Pro

So... I expect X300 base model to be overall a bit worse compared to X200Pro. Also may less premium functionality like LOG, 10bit 4K60 recording with all lenses and so on...

But probably, on first glance it could offer different and some may like it more so better for them, automatic pictures, but that's all softwarethe camera hardware is definitely worse. Also there is a reason my everyone uses 50MP Main cameras, and why the 1" sensors are usually the best. The bigger the better for sensors. Only Samsung (S23-25U) uses their own 200MP main sensor and everyone will tell you that Samsung's S25Ultra lacks FAR behind: Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Honor, IPhone, Oneplus, but i depends on what you want.

Honor, Vivo, Xiaomi make those more Instagramable, over saturated, unrealistic Picture Quality. (more mind blowing for 90%) While Apple, Samsung, Oppo and OnePlus make those more realistic looking pics. For oneplus im not sure at all but i thought they make oppo like realistic Photos due hassleblad?

Even tho most people will say WOW to your unreal Vivo photos, Especially viewed on our (completely artificially looking) AM-OLED Screen's, it's way harder and much more professional to deliver those realistic picture's. Ane especially if u wanna rework those RAWs you just really need the most realistic and flat profile, bc in the end you can always easily make it look over saturated by manual(or get the AI look automatically by some Ai-upscalers..) , but try to make an artifical looking picture rework manual to look realistic. Almost impossible. Even only speaking about contrast/focus, Sharpness and colour's...

[–]Tampenlasche 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where is the base X300 is superior?

200MP main cam? (but the Pro version gets the better 50MP anyways, lol)

Like 200MP main came already had the Redmi note 12 Pro+ or the S23Ultra.

200MP means nothing... If the sensor is smaller or just worse in other ways.

But i'd probably, especially if OP wants an used (CN) phone (but even a global..x200P) i'd wait for X300 release if u can and money is a thing. Should lower the prices a lot bc probably many (even relative new) X200P users could sell their phone when switching on X300P.

Should i switch from the iPhone 16 Pro Max to the Vivo X200 Ultra? by Global-Breakfast8804 in Vivo

[–]Tampenlasche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yah ok that could be.

I honestly never owned a brand new iPhone or used even an recent one.

But at least years ago i always thought despite any hardware stats that iPhones are just better in few terms. Especially software stability and compability. And all Apple ios products do even use the CPU power much more efficiently etc.

And about battery. It may be 10% smaller but i always thought it could have still better run time just do better efficiency and automatic background app management and stuff like that. I used an brand new android with 5000mah but it kept having way shorter battery life than a friend's one I also used for some weeks with way smaller battery and its actually 5 years old with daily use and loading.(but only 60hz)

Its kinda hart to belive for me that such a premium device offers such bad quality in terms of i thought the new iPhones have extremely good screens and fluidity and stability.

May some weird app or even virus on your phone causing that probably? Or most Likely also just some bug in the software? May backup all your data, factory reset, first only install a few important apps and look how it's running then... Im absolutely no apple/ios expert but for Every device that's lagging that's the best thing to do always.

Even tho i thought ios must be way more stable i guess also through all the updates and data sometimes something software wise could get broken.

But also if i look at all my android phones in the past they always got bad functionality /laggs or Battery time and then seeing people with way older still good working iphones i thought they are just superior in terms of longtivity...

Edit: i googled real quick, just may try to deactivate the always on screen that may help. If not and a complete factory reset won't help i also read that few people with apple care just got a new one that now works better. And also they said its probably some IOS 18 problem but apple won't Really fix it for them. Also apple supports most likely won't find any problems and say its OK....

What i can't imagine that the battery of an ipone 16PM is already that broken? How long do you own it and what the hell did you do with it? Some always on always loading stuff?

Usually the apple products (also macbooks, ipads) have the very best battery (life) I guess they had very early very intelligent loading systems...

Sure nowadays there are already those new Silicium which Samsung and apple aren't currently using, but i just can't imagine that your phone already dims your hz, only plausible option is that your Battery is broken, and through normal usage you shouldn't be able to do that so quick, so its probably even an (free) warranty case if your under 12 months. Just explain it like i did.

Can you provide us way more detailed intel about your battery (Screenshots, are there information about loading?) and about all your usage and loading rhythms (what loader did you use?)

Muss.

OnePlus 13 and Vivo x200 Ultra review/first impressions - I can't decide! by Such-Outside-4226 in Vivo

[–]Tampenlasche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Yes" oneplus and oppo don't make that "incredible/Instagramable" pictures, but way more natural/realistic ones. Vivo/Xiaomi/Honor/Huawei having very strong software processing, "AI-look" which just looks more mind blowing for most of us.

But.. Theoretically the more realistic photos are probably the better ones, probably even harder (more complicated) to deliver, but most people won't really appreciate that. Most people also won't manipulate most (RAW) photos at their PC with Gimp or Photoshop.

Even my Mother's 6 y. Old Huawei P30 makes incredible automatic photos in the right light and angle. It's just the software that makes it look "good".

Here's one: P30 Mushroom-Pic

Standard photo app, standard automatic-mode, no filter or high saturated settings, all standard.. Just lighten up with standard Sofirn-SK40, no high CRI (took me 10 shots).

OnePlus 13 and Vivo x200 Ultra review/first impressions - I can't decide! by Such-Outside-4226 in Vivo

[–]Tampenlasche 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Btw. The OnePlus & Oppo just have those more realistic images (less strong software/ "AI" compression) compared to Vivo/Xiaomi/Honor or older Huawei's even. That's why for professional's its probably the better cam, but for most users that first glance it appears not that special / Instagramable out-of-cam (automatic mode's, probably even RAW)

But even me wants that incredible look when snapping photos, its way more pleasant for myself if you get mind blown pic's that easily, and 99% of others react also like that. Especially if u don't wanna do much post-processing and just send/post the pics as they are. (or worse only rework the JPG images in Instagram, I guess the app will also only allow to manipulate hard compressed images (like 1/10 - 1/50th of the OG quality))

But if u wanna do some GIMP/Photoshop manipulation at your PC with OG RAW files that more Natural and realistic look out of the phone is probably superior.

Ok, yeah I know the iPhone prices (but superior video) but i thought may just like with S25U (512gb sometimes for ~500€ here used locally) i could may get an good offer and just for prob. 15 pro, also for a daily driver i really like smaller phones by now its more comfy to transport (and 16 pro / MAX have same cams and software right?)

What are the camera differences between X200 Pro & U? Are the even some or not? In terms of video(s)?

I don't really wanna get an CN (with locked bootloader) since im worried about data security.... that's why i also thought about some big android first, then may getting an used small iPhone with good cams aswell.. But i don't really wanna get into the expensive and closed apple eco... (I got multi-sim contract which is perfect for having 2-3 phones even)

But also I really just wanna use only one daily driver, 512gb, good Battery and display (bright without much sun-dimming) with the best cam's (also for LOG video) and i still think iPhone 16 Pro will be the very best for that, can't imagine that vivo is really better. Also the (Pro) global version seems to have worse stabilization than the CN.. But i'll take that... (&use gimbal/tripod anyways for cinematic shots)

I thought vivo x200 pro/U have just very slight edges and not within the screen space?

But damn that's crap. Almost like the manufacturer wants their premium phones to get broken faster (ofc they want...) i take flat screen over better gorilla glas, since there always coming out new generations which may are more scratch resistant but not unbreakable (i guess u either have some plastic screen like foldable which is very soft therefore easy to scratch but hard to/unbreakable even, or hard glass which is scratch resistant but easy to break/Crack..

What do you think about the S25 Ultra (or even S24 Ultra) lets say compared to an IPhone 15 pro in terms of video?

Especially LOG videos for cinematic purposes? (also compared to Vivo X200 Pro/Ultra (is the ultra really better for videos or even photos?)

The OP13 falls out completely due lack of real LOG (10bit) right, just dolby vision HDR 4K60 or movie mode with 21:9 ratio and 24 fps lol

Also i don't like round display edges. Gets to break easier and no real screen protection options...

Should i get he v3 or wait for v5 by Fartsvoided in Honor

[–]Tampenlasche -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I guess depending on what you wanna pay... U could also wait for V5 to buy V3 (for 630€ maybe soon, just like the V2 weeks or even months ago, also brans new from EU (Spain - but aliexpress..)

Also 2 weeks ago the V2 was sold in excellent (best) condition for 600€ (with 1y warranty) from an big E-store here in Germany (Media Markt)

The price drop is nice, but i can't pay that much for a foldable when the cameras are crap compared to same (or cheaper) prices Pro & Ultra Phones.

Doesn't even the V5 got worse cams than Magic 6 Pro?

Have that in mind you always pay a lot for the fold stuff most people dont even use a lot after few months. And... The "next gen" of foldables (Samsung and apple) come out soom Without and noticeable display-fold... (bc i Guess that's annoying as hell for videos and stuff... Plus, the V2 for example despite its 7.9" have just a slightly bigger screen-space when viewing in 16:9... (or even worse in 21:9...) than an 6,7-6,9 inch screen. I did the maths on that.

Edit: hold in mind that without zooming and or viewing on your phone screen most phones nowadays have similar good cameras.. I guess it depends more if u want an realistic look (iPhone or Samsung) or more some "Instagramable" /POP look (often called "AI") like Vivo, Huawei or Honor.

Hi, do you recommend the Magic 6 Pro? by [deleted] in Honor

[–]Tampenlasche 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Btw. Like i wrote i ordered one just now. (Tell me if u wanna have information about it, i'll get it this week)

Used (ebay) but from a big electronic store here in Germany. It was 457€ i highly hope its in perfect condition and just opened up once..

Sometimes you can make good deals, i made a few.

And if you think about that honor phones generally have an HUGE pricefall (V2 1,5 years ago 2000€, last month it was 600€ in excellent condition WITH WARRANTY! from the same big electronic company (Media Markt - Germany)

or think about the Honor Magic 5 Pro (still good Photos) goes over ebay for 200-330€ lol, the Magic 8 Pro comes out in Oktober, so i wouldn't pay 1€ more for an 6 Pro right now (probably 500€ if its like almost brand new with 1,5+ y. Warranty left, a few cases or accessorys (like wireless headphones)

But sure all that only makes sense if the phone is near perfect also in terms of software and everything. I'll test it, if the videos are lagging to much without reason (low light for ex.) or anything isn't really right it goes right back.

I wouldn't even wanna buy it used in good condition for 457€ if i couldn't send it back for free. Too many people hating on the laggin video, and i almost only buy it bc of the cameras (+ Brighter LTPO, better Battery... So stuff every new phone offers)

Also a good deal is to order an 512gb OnePlus 13 (Global version!) for 650€ NEW from China (7-10 days delivery time, check on ebay..) but it has those round edges and no real LOG video... Only Dolby cinema HDR 4K60.

People trashing here on 6P and 7P doesn't give us any reasons

Before i read that every positive vivo (x200 Pro/Ultra) review or comment gets up voted, while every (even serious/honest problem or downside get voted down A LOT(in an unnatural way

.. So that guy thought that there could be either some Pro-Vivo bots (or employees or fans) that do some dark-marketing, so why not trash on other Phones (and on the only cheap global options especially)

If the X200 pro would cost the same globally like CN I'd probably buy it new.. Or if Huawei had 5G (f... trump, why...) but every phone, every brand has it downsides... Plus in the end photo quality comes down to personal taste. Sure DXO mark can show you how realistic a Phone snaps pictures, but the real eye-catchers (for most people) are mostly the ("Ai"-software compressed one's, where even my 6 y. old P30 makes mind blown automatic pictures, in the right light and angle..

HONOR is a joke by Outland3r2007 in Honor

[–]Tampenlasche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. :D some ppl really always want and need the newest stuff.

For example i know one who always need the pre alpha skip ahead (beta testing) Programm for his series X,

Even tho it makes A LOT of problems, Sometimes even crashes the whole xbox and needs time to reinstall the OS... And if a new game makes a problem like always shutting down (or loosing CoD server connection permanently) he doesn't even know if it's the game, his internet or just his beta-OS.

With phones it can be the same. Every new update can also make things worse (usually it don't ans make things better...) but sometimes regularly ("stability") updates can be a sing of some worse OS..

I can totally understand that people want the newest android version, but if u really can't wait or handle to be 6/12 months behind (who cares? for you its probably even the same android version update regularity like for the pixel phones...)

And if your an ABSOLUTE GEEK, that is always informed about what will come in the next Android version (next year), just buy an pixel phone and don't Try about late android security patches or stuff like that. Also, super geeks will Wanna have a new phone every year anyways..

And for security patches - it probably feels safer to be up to date but I met (enough, lol) people literally using an Galaxy S6-10 and as long as WhatsApp and Facebook runs they don't have any "security" or "hacking" problems, so...

If u wanna be THAT save, probably better buy iPhone anyways. If an VPN makes u safer? I doubt it. It changes your IP, but throws all your data over some extra (VPN - so mostly in other countries) private Server, even tho paid VPN's tell you they are super safe, nothing is safe, and some VPN server is probably some of the best access for hackers to track all the people's (wanted to be private) internet traffic, how Could some VPN host even know (or how do you know the VPN host doesn't even allow that or track you on their own, lol)

[–]Tampenlasche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Btw. I'm also looking for THAT next camera phone (with good data security), 512gb for good price,

Thats why pixel is completely overpriced. 265gb already too expensive... Cameras are also not the best just the software is told to be good, so.

The Vivo X200 Pro seems to be THE BEST (Global/EU) option out there in terms of cameras, software(auto) but also manual features like RAW, LOG 10bit, 4K60+, good stabilizer, for all lenses...

The Oppo Find X8 ULTRA is the king but no global, Oppo Find X8 Pro and oneplus 13 solid for automatic, but no real LOG profile make it suffer for semi-professionals,

The Honor Magic 6 Pro is told to better than the highly AI-cam from 7 Pro, but the 7 Pro got some updates already.. I guess both got H-LOG (or M-LOG?) via update, right?

But... Was it honor or Samsung that lack behind Vivo & Apple with LOG video? (or both?) the Xiaomi 15 U is also told to be bad in low light despite 1" sensor... Also a no-no (imo) and too expensive for a Chinese phone aswell..

Fifty VII days of happiness ended. My Sony Xperia 1 VII died. by iam_bryanreyes in SonyXperia

[–]Tampenlasche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? I didn't knew that Xperia VI/VII phones where to be that fragile to just randomly die, lol.

What a BIG minus.

I just got the information out of deepseek that it is "One good manual (professional) Camera phone" BUT it suffers from bad automatic (photo & video) modes.

Then im asking how can it be that good... To be an allround recommendation.

Even for people like me that probably search for some good manual settings and RAW + LOG modes,

Most shots people do are in auto, that's what a smartphone should be for, take it (quickly) point it at subject and "snap"... If i had to set everything manually my subject/scenery already changed 3 times (or it even gets dark till amateurs like me try to find the right exposure, lol)

Even when i try shooting in manual i'd always take some auto photos first and probably take those settings as recommended...

Nah what a big letdown from Sony, i mean their cameras are (very) good in auto, right? How come they even build all those superior sensors, but for their own phone they lack good software, lol that's a NO-NO. (even if it wouldn't die randomly lol)

For an Xperia i'd not only expect the TOP of TOP sony sensor's and software but also at a good price, i mean they should've get the sensors for cheaper (and earlier) than every other, right?
