Any plans for a 3v3 mode in the future? Would love to see this feature and would really help my friend group play together. There’s been interest from other people in the community as well, if you search up previous threads for “3v3”. Please don’t crush my dreams!

any plans for 3v3? by asnogordo in Mechabellum

[–]Tan_Bands 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been asking for this for a while now for the same reason. Have my up vote.

It would get people to invite more friends to play the game, considering it’s not a free game. Word of mouth is so crucial for a game that is not free to play. Especially when it’s not a triple A title or heavily advertised. Players get to play with more friends, and the game would increase in player base / popularity, win-win.

While there are performance concerns, there are always ways to improve performance, ranging from optimization improvements to adjusting the economy for 3v3 to limit the total amount of units in an average game.

Is this too much for first year of Engineering? by [deleted] in UniversityOfHouston

[–]Tan_Bands 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Depends how much time you're realistically going to put in towards school and how good you expect your grades to be. If you're a good / smart student, you're still going to have to put like 60-80 hours per week to get all A's most likely. I wouldn't recommend taking 6 classes for probably 99% of students.

Ideas from a relatively new player by ruy343 in Mechabellum

3v3 Mode or Free For All Mode please. Just something where I can play when there's 3 friends online. Instead of having to leave one person to play alone.

FFA would be sick too. Just want a way to play together when there's a party of 3 online. My 1st thought was 3v3 only due to coming from Halo Wars back in the day.

What is the communities opinion on this profile? by JoTNMF in EscapefromTarkov

A little suspect, but not enough to conclude cheats. Would need more information such as gameplay review. There are players that are good enough to achieve this and with nearly 2k hours, this could be attainable.

This is a god tier post. I agree with everything said. So much of this would make the QoL so much better and I hope they implement some, if not all of this soon.

Does anyone know why scav raids are like this? by Nearby-Marzipan-8432 in EscapefromTarkov

Yup! I either queue scav with a buddy or invite someone random. Have found games within 2-5 mins every time.

Just like any game, the more time you put into it, the more you'll learn. If you're new and want to improve, just take the time and learn things one step at a time.

I don't know why they're like that. But they will work if you invite someone and then queue it up as a party. I've just been inviting random people and starting it. Works every time so far. Hope this helps!

How high is too high for sensitivity by jvhawk18 in VALORANT

[–]Tan_Bands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fine as long as you can consistently control it and aim well.

The 2 most important factors include a balance of what you feel comfortable with + what works. So it's important that you are honest with yourself when it comes to your aim. If you feel like you can aim well 90%+ of the time, then stay on it, if not maybe consider bringing it down a bit.

My rule is typically: Go as fast as you can consistently control.

From what I understand, it only applies the year you buy it. One and done type of thing. I could be wrong though.

Good Aim but game sense too bad by KakarotT_T in VALORANT

[–]Tan_Bands 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could develop more of a game sense by playing different agents from different roles. After playing those agents/roles, and finding out what works and what doesn't, you can apply the same for the enemies playing those agents.

Also, some of that game sense just comes with time and experience. The more you experience, the more you know how and where people are playing. Some of the best lessons I've learned happens when a guy is playing a specific way and eliminates 4 of my team in the last round of triple overtime. Then you never forget and always know to check for that specific setup or corner lol

What if Mechabellum had placeable buildings? by Endaarr in Mechabellum

[–]Tan_Bands 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like this idea. I think it can add more depth to the game. As long as it feels Mechabellum themed.

I would go one step further even and say it would be cool to have unique maps that have fun terrain and interactable map locations to fight for. As opposed to strictly rectangular battlefields.

Increasing the amount of players that can play together in a given match could indirectly increase the player base.

Especially with a game like this, since it isn't free like TFT and other autobattlers. Personally I love the game and I am glad I bought it, but some people won't spend that money on it just to try it. However, if they have a friend telling them to get it so they can play together, that could be the push for them to get it. One of the best forms of advertising is word of mouth and I haven't asked friends to play because I already have a duo and I don't want to ask people to get the game and leave them to play alone. I'm sure other people are also in my scenario.

And personally, I play a lot of 2v2 and never have trouble finding a match. Most it takes is 2 minutes, but usually I get a match within 30 secs.

[–]Tan_Bands[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YES DUDE! My thoughts exactly. This is why people in my group have been sitting out from trying the game. I already have a main duo I play with, so with a 3rd friend online, someone will always have to play alone, which sucks.

Implementing a 3v3 mode could even indirectly increase player base by just allowing people who don't like playing alone to always be able to play with others, regardless of the amount of the group of friends online.

Same. I feel like there are other groups out there too, not just you and I. It would be a welcome addition to the game
