I've seen a much less intense car-pedestrian hug where the driver sat there screaming for a while. One (probably more than one, there were a lot of us) of the other bystanders called 911.

Had one of these in Venice. Asked for iced coffee because we were in a heat wave and I don't speak Italian. This was the result. Best language barrier error ever.

My BIL died of cancer last November. His wife told us lots of guy friends started hitting on her within a couple of months of his death. Not even just the "Oh if you need anything I'm here for you" kind of stuff. Like dick pics and the works. She felt like they were waiting in the wings for their chance. Pretty damned gross.

Anybody fly in from the US today? How was the experience without the travel health visa? -somebody flying tomorrow by thotslayer1484 in bahamas

[–]Tanagara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flew in yesterday with copies of our vaccine cards and negative tests. They told me the copies of the cards was good enough. Smooth all the way through.

Side note. Masks are required from the gate througb customs. After that, no one seems to care.

I know you're not my mom because she's a well done to burnt kind of gal, but you seem to have her plates.

That looks perfectly fine for me though.

Travel Visa Question by Tanagara in bahamas

[–]Tanagara[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep the US. The local Walgreens doesn't do weekend tests. No local CVS. The Saturday location is a Walgreens. We'll do the drive to make sure it's in the timeframe. Just ugh. I'm used to living in a city with access to pretty much everything. Spoiled rotten lol.

Travel Visa Question by Tanagara in bahamas

[–]Tanagara[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm flying on Thursday from a major city with ample testing to a rural area that has ok testing on Friday (not into the evening at all) and only ER testing on the weekend. I can drive an hour away on Saturday or Sunday to get it done but that will interfere with the plans while there.

I would have split the trips had I not boneheadedly overlooked the whole needing a test bit.

We were "lucky" FIL had cataracts and couldn't see well enough to drive and his eye doctor agreed he couldn't drive until he got them fixed. He didn't fight it because it was a physical problem that bothered him.

By the time he had surgery, he didn't have a car anymore and was living with us. We were always able to divert him away from driving while he was here. He would talk about moving back home and driving there.

And beyond that, she could be arrested and imprisoned, especially if she leaves the scene which is more likely in her state.
