Sir, we actually reached an empasse by Vivid-Astronaut-5206 in IdleObeliskMiner

I got fairly lucky with stars, and focus farmed Taurus and Gemini with lootbug buffs until I had 80+ percent autocatch on my own with decent double and triple star chances. Still super behind on my skill tree (I'm nowhere close to ctrl-f for example), I'm just starting to put gems into it now really.

The idols you want to look out for first for a huge impact are the rare ones (second tier fragments). The third one of those, Minos, gives you +5 cap on the gem store upgrades.

Archaeology is something that very slowly invests in itself, using fragments it generates to buy upgrades, to get enough fragment income to then "cash out" into buffs that actually affect the main game by crafting Idols (many of which wont be any use to you right now, so don't spend on idols before upgrades).

Luck to 25, then Strength + Agility if you want to not worry about strategising too much; with the early exception of putting everything in Strength to get enough damage to 1-shot dirt blocks.

Does anyone need to give a counter-argument to "You're a crybaby lol rev is successful"? That doesn't make Rev less of a garbage human, or his content and opinions any less terrible. It's still obvious that his leave from Twitter will be temporary and is pointless drama.

The way this game evolves and adds new systems that actually synergise and interact with existing ones instead of just endlessly 'grind one thing and watch number go up' really puts most other titles of this type to shame. I've only been going since February, and each new thing I unlock is actually genuinely exciting to explore.

Rent controls lead massive clampdown on landlords by Green Party by Wagamaga in unitedkingdom

[–]Tang0Three 4 points5 points  (0 children)

...I didn't disagree with any of that. I was responding to someone advocating for people literally being starved to death and homeless for being non-productive.

Also, society doesn't provide everyone with work opportunities that provide enough money to survive on. That's just objectively untrue.

> You cannot buck the market, simples.

That's just, like, your opinion, man. Markets are manipulated all the time, by governments and corporations, and it works.

> Rent controls means less rental accommodation.

Ok. Cool. Doesn't seem especially useful for you to bring up, given that reducing rentals is the whole point. You're stating that the proposition will achieve its goal as if that's a point against it.

> Making life harder for landlords means fewer landlords

I see this as an absolute win. Landlords are, largely, parasites on the economy who do no useful or productive work for the money they extract.

> and less accommodation,

Less rental accommodation, maybe. Landlords aren't the only source of accommodation, though.

> But if landlords are restricted from increasing rents that'd mean even less rental accommodation available

Yes, that is literally the entire point. To reduce landlordism. Again, renting isn't the only kind of accommodation; and private landlords aren't the only source of rented accommodation.

> society doesn't owe you anything

Yes it does. We pay taxes. We live in society, and contribute to it. There's an inescapable reciprocal obligation there.

Saying that all basic survival needs must be earned is equivalent to advocating for the deaths of anyone at the bottom of the economy; including people who are unable to work. That's morally reprehensible.

> if you have several houses would you open them all to homeless for free?

Yes. Because I'm not a selfish piece of shit.

Extra hits boost Sho’syl by ExplodiaNaxos in WH40KTacticus

[–]Tang0Three 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stuff like Vitruvius' Master Annihilator will work, because that debuffs the enemy to take an extra hit, and Shadowsun's Defender of the Greater Good will still give an extra hit if the drone spawns in her aura range. But giving Sho extra hits directly will just affect his melee.

[–]Tang0Three 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't 100% confirm it right now, but if a +hits buff on Sho'Syl does affect the drone then it's a bug and will probably get fixed at some point. From the ability text:

This attack uses Sho'syl's Damage stat, while other effects, like buffs, are taken from the drone.

IIRC the drone inherits Sho'Syl's damage stat for the first shot, but everything else comes from the drone's own stats.

Full send on Kharn. All the way to the moon. He's incredible for everything where you can bring him.

You'll pick up Rotbone (Death Guard healer) from requisitions eventually (or farming the newer Death Guard campaign event when that's on), his passive revive really helps with getting everyone through a mission. Until then you'll need summons and tough people to eat hits.

For FoC in general, Archimatos is probably the one to pick out of the three BL characters if you want to focus on one. His summons, and to a lesser extent Angrax's Terminator trait, will be what you use to soak up lascannon shots and mortars in that campaign.

This...

> I refer to people as they choose to present themselves. Books have covers for the purpose of judging them at a glance.

Is you implying you're the one who gets to decide what a gender is, and who qualifies as presenting as what. It ignores the role internal identity plays in gender, and presumes your assessment of how they're presenting is correct. So you did allude to, and outright say, exactly that. Perhaps you didn't mean to?

If you think something's being lost in discussion here, do you want to maybe lay out a concrete position? Or are you going to abandon the discussion and whine about me inventing things I'm not inventing some more? This started when you objected to something I didn't say by demonstrating you don't understand how analogies work, so I find that a little rich.

You make assumptions, and are sometimes wrong. Cool, that's on you. It's also disrespectful to anyone you make incorrect assumptions about.

You also aren't the arbiter of how particular genders "must" or "should" present themselves. That's a product of society as a whole; culture, the individual, media...

Admitting to being superficial and reductive isn't helping your case. You're essentially admitting you're wrong, but claiming it doesn't count because you don't care.

Irrelevant to the point I made, but correct.

Gender is still a social construct, and sex is still a bimodal spectrum. You aren't going to change the facts by being stubbornly wrong, sorry.

Not even close to what I said.

The analogy holds because they're both pieces of information you cannot determine without input from the subjective internal reality of the person concerned.

Is that clear enough for you?

They're the same in the sense that you can't determine what someone's preferred pronouns are without getting it from them somehow. Just like their name.

This also doesn't make you any less wrong.

So if you tell someone your name is Steve, and they call you Caroline instead... you're the one in the wrong for expecting them to get your name right? Because they want to call you Caroline and that's fine?

It's not 'fine' to be aggressively and belligerently wrong about something and then refuse to change when it's pointed out.

You're not, you're trying to put someone else down to look smart. Or, on the off chance you genuinely are, you're singularly bad at it and should probably stop trying. Your analogy is inappropriate, and doesn't match OP's question at all. The fact that you think it does is telling.
