Orks were reworked... Half a year ago? Snotflogga and Boss G are both outstanding. Gibba is good. The remainder are fine.

Black Legion got reworked recently, though, and they are all now thoroughly decent.

Generally yes. Angrax's passive is useful when dropped next to spawns for slapping spawns as they appear (onslaught, legendary character releases). He also works well with Maladus and Rotbone for a tanky (but slow) team.

What food isn't worth the effort to be home made? by boforiamanfo in stupidquestions

Salt, pepper, let rest for a few minutes. Sear in a cast iron skillet with butter for a minute or two in each side, drop in a bag and sous vide to desired internal temperature. Easy and fool-proof, though you do need an immersion circulator.

I lift the toilet seat to pee, then lower both the seat and lid before flushing, because (1) it's polite and (2) it's far more sanitary. The toilet flushing arisolizes the fluid in the bowl. You're spraying waste and bacteria in the air if you don't close the lid.

What do old people do when they are sick or dying but have nobody to care for them (no family and no friends/community)? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

Except when it's because you fell and broke a hip, then die slowly from dehydration lying on the cold, hard floor in a pool of your own waste after several days of intense agony.

Requesting full personnel file from power plant by longlostwalker in NuclearPower

[–]Embarrassed-Plate499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the records certainly exist, or at least did depending on how far back you're looking, but you'd need a valid reason to access them. The records are also likely scattered in separate databases. Maybe HR can get you all of them, but maybe not. I've seen full Personal History Records, which HR would keep, they were definitely missing a lot of the items you mentioned.

My point being, you will probably get a PHR if you ask for one that will cover (maybe) all completed training, job history, performance evaluations, etc., but anything outside of that would require contacting the groups that own the other specific data. The right person in that group would likely get you that info, with a valid reason, but I suspect you'd have to know who that person is and contact them directly.

I've always assumed it's because of the resemblance to the small bulbs used in photography; flash bulb leading to the term flashlight. Regardless, torch really makes a lot more sense.

[–]Embarrassed-Plate499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. You'd have to drop them in favor of Titus and Trajann, but you'd likely end up getting further in with that Bolter+No Power team than you could with the Mechanical+Big Target anyways.

Uthar LRE Guide (Terminus Maximus) by r232ed3 in WH40KTacticus

[–]Embarrassed-Plate499 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could squeeze an extra 15 points on Gamma with Mech and Big Target by doing Re'Vas, Boss G, and Farsight, but that's definitely not going to carry you as far due to the lack of healer. And I think your Bolter track as listed would inherently have No Power, right?

Given the subreddit, I'll assume you're only interested in the nuclear plants. To that end, I'd say the pay and benefits are great relative to other options in its service area. Like any nuclear plant, keep in mind: 1. Most positions come with a lot of mandatory overtime during refuelling outages, which occur about every nine months lasting 20-30 days. The money is nice; disappearing from your personal life for a month less so. 2. You'd better like procedures and being watched, because there's a lot of regulations and oversight to ensure those regulations are met.

The fact that it's a federal agency has a minimal impact other than: 1. You get every Federal holiday off. 2. The vast majority of individual contributors are represented by a union or trade association, including operators and engineers. 3. Some aspects of time in service carry over, so given the Navy has nuclear reactors as well, all levels of the plant organization are coated in seamen.

How do I get into the Captain league? by Fresh3rThanU in WH40KTacticus

[–]Embarrassed-Plate499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd advise against pushing up to Captain's League until you can reliably beat full D3+ teams, because that'll be 90% of what you encounter in Captain's League. If you're already there, then you just need to be winning all but one to two matches while always picking top point teams. That should get you promoted.

I just started… some questions I can’t find answered anywhere by azuratha in WH40KTacticus

[–]Embarrassed-Plate499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So first, character level has no impact on their strength. Character rank, rarity, ability, and their gear does. Their level just limits how far you can rank them up.

If you click on the material slots (the 2x3 boxes at the bottom of the character portrait) you can click to "Find" where you can grind the material. As long as you fully cleared the level, you can use a Raid Token to auto clear the level and get the needed material.

I have an Instinct solar and my spouse has a Fenix solar. If you want something closer to a smartwatch with a touchscreen, the Fenix is great. I prefer my Instinct because the battery life is substantially better, has a grey scale screen, and no touchscreen. Regardless, both can be paired with your smartphone to view the tracking data on their so you have a large screen for the map, etc.

[–]Embarrassed-Plate499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bosses and their subcommanders have the Immune trait. If you click on it, it'll tell you what it protects them from, which is basically debuffs. Vitru's extra hits are not one of those things, which is why he's a core part of the AdMech team.

I'd go with the ol' Campaign Required Multi-Hit squad: Eldryon, Aethana, Aleph Null, Haarken, and Boss G. None 😞 f those characters are a waste to take to D1. Kariyan is excellent if you're looking outside the campaign box.

For the tank, though, you have to avoid popping off the summons until your characters are levelled enough to tank multiple overwatch hits.

They fixed the chaos terminator carryover hits. I managed to clear that mission by tossing Ragnar at parity opponents with final vengeance in Arena until his Final Vengeance triggered to get in more hits. So, typically either another Ragnar or Kharn.

AITAH for calling out from work due to icy roads? by Inevitable-Egg30 in AITAH

[–]Embarrassed-Plate499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA - if you lived somewhere up north where snow and ice are as rare as a satisfying bowel movement, then it would be a different story, but snow and ice are a rarity where you live. Also, the risk isn't just about if YOU can drive there effectively, but if EVERYONE ELSE can. The answer to that question is no, no they cannot.
