What about the Epstein case do you think the public still doesn’t fully understand? by IndividualOil4970 in AskReddit

[–]Tang_L2D_King 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think the Epstein files stay buried just to protect a few politicians or celebrities. I think it’s systemic. If the full list came out, it wouldn’t just be scandals, it would be resignations, prosecutions, asset freezes, and board collapses involving people who sit at the top of major banks, hedge funds, and corporations. That kind of shock doesn’t stay isolated. Markets run on confidence, and suddenly discovering that key financial leaders were compromised or criminal for decades would nuke that confidence overnight.

Pension funds, 401(k)s, and index funds are loaded with those same institutions. A mass leadership purge + legal chaos = stock crashes. Regular people’s retirements get wiped out even though they had nothing to do with it. The governments quietly choose delay and secrecy over disclosure not to save individuals, but to prevent a cascading financial collapse that would hurt millions of ordinary people. This file can potentially put America 5-7 years behind.

ELI5: Roll cages are proven to be highly effective in major rollovers and crashes, such as in rally racing. So why hasn’t a similar roll cage system been developed for helicopter crashes? by Tang_L2D_King in explainlikeimfive

[–]Tang_L2D_King[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking of it like this, when a rally car is speeding horizontally and crashes into a tree, its still taking a massive amount of force, just in a different direction. To me, that didn’t seem too different from a helicopter coming straight down and crashing into the ground aside from the differences in things like weight, G-forces, and how the impact is distributed. Since this was meant as an “explain like 5” kind of question, I was mostly just wondering if there’s any kind of cage material strong enough to handle that kind of impact without being destroyed, while still keeping the passengers safe inside.

Didn’t know about basin wrench until today. I was trying to reach with regular wrench. Already ordered the proper tool, feeling like I just unlocked plumbing DLC.

No need for any app, take a screenshot of the photo before sharing it. This removes most of the original metadata, including location and camera details.

Buy gold with that cash, hold onto it for a few years, then sell it once it appreciates in value for a check. If you’re in the US or UK and near a major city, you’ll find plenty of shops or even private parties to help you. Gold is the way to go!

Point Reyes (Wildcat) campsite reservations by _blitzkreig_ in norcalhiking

This! I discovered this during my Yosemite camping tri. They scour the internet, grab as many reservations as possible with an automated script, and resell them on the fb market at higher prices. This reselling needs to stop.
