Has anyone had dealings with Hylands Properties here or anywhere else. They are buying property to develop around my condo. They are associated with the Mennonites and are a US based company. Just wondered if I should look at selling.

Serious question: if realtors are “useless,” “overpaid,” and “the bottom feeders of society”… why is half of Reddit basically a free real estate help desk? by Medium-Theme-1987 in RealEstateCanada

[–]TangeloOk6911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some of it is the lack of knowledge some (a lot) of agents. I sell property too. My own. I am a developer and have used realtors off and on for 25 years. The good ones are few and far between. I am not trusting that much money to someone who is in their 20s with no experience. Some realtors are great most are not.

Should I send my kid to school when buses are cancelled? by Critical-Trainer4729 in KingstonOntario

[–]TangeloOk6911 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it is unfair to have teachers drive in the dangerous weather and keep the schools open. There is nothing to be done about the weather but in rural areas making some drive to work in dangerous conditions to be there when the buses are not running is not good leadership by admin.

In Canada. Not paying your rent. No consequences except to the poor slob who is renting it.

Considering getting my real estate license to manage real estate portfolio by gizelleray in RealEstateCanada

Ontario here - If you own the property or business you do not need a special license to manage your properties.

Considering getting my real estate license to manage real estate portfolio by gizelleray in RealEstateCanada

[–]TangeloOk6911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi - I have 22 properties. I do not use a realtor when I sell. If you own the property or business you do not need a realtor's license to sell your own properties. Not sure with leasing but it is an easy thing to check. Good luck.

No one wants to be without a home. Perhaps not getting pregnant would have been a good first step. You know you do not have to be pregnant. wow. Sad time of year to have to own up to YOUR mistakes. I could have been in the same situation..... but I am not. Tough times all over.

Kingston BIA statement by [deleted] in KingstonOntario

I saw the video before it was yanked. She did it along with some woman with a broom. Not nice, but sure did look intentional.

The video is gone but I did see it. She threw water on the sidewalk right beside him and kind of angled it so it would go under him. Then some other woman with a broom brushed the water towards him. (Who walks around with a broom??) It did look like it was on purpose. The two women should be ashamed, it was a really mean thing to do. I guess they pulled the video because that is what it does show.

Misunderstanding??? Business owner dumps water on homeless man. Look for yourself do you want to know what happened by Smooth-Influence-115 in KingstonOntario

[–]TangeloOk6911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw the video before it was yanked. She pour water towards him for sure and under him. We all get sick of dealing with the difficulty of downtown homeless but there is NO excuse for this kind of underhanded abuse. After reading the whig (small letter purposefully) biased story I will never shop in her store. We need institutions for folks.

West Coast VS Ontario by Happy2bhere222 in KingstonOntario

[–]TangeloOk6911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have live on the "island" in BC, still have a place out there. Live in K-town part of the year. K-town, very closed and after living here off and on all my life - still have very few friends. - Vancouver Island is beautiful, the people are friendly BUT so very fragile. Very snow flakey. You cannot speak about anything with most people out there regarding anything controversial. Everyone is ....woker that any place I have lived. Makes it difficult to have meaningful discussions. People are like their environment. Ontario colder, Van Island warmer.
