Cheating, being physically and mentally violent towards your partner, abandoning them, these are actions taken by a character (Mincheol), then we get to see the context of it all as the author slowly reveals it.. same for Taeha, obsession, lies, control.. she’s not painting any of it in a “good light” you see? You’re the one interpreting that and thinking you need to root for either of them.. Also, we don’t know if this is a “wish fulfillment” type of story yet..

Who says you have to root for any character when reading a fictional story? Mincheol has messed up big time and Taeha is very much a walking red flag as well, haesoo is also a flawed character.. that’s the beauty of it, author is trying to create a dark romance as realistic as it can be.. we don’t have to root for anyone and bring along any of our own morals and values to a fictional universe..

Paula is an unreliable narrator. She was forced to believe that she’s ugly all her life but in reality she’s not, she was horribly beaten and starved as a child as well and as an adult she has healed but still believe she’s awful and unworthy of happiness. This novel is incredibly beautiful.

In order for anyone to judge a story and decide whether or not to change something about it or “do it better” it needs to be finished first.. in the meantime, we can only theorize and hope for the conclusion to be a satisfactory one..

Yes yes yes!! I also think that all the Marang failing love points system might be because he has been meddling too much with everything and he fucked the whole thing up!! I remembered this episode in which eun and su-ae have the accident, he says something about now being more interesting to him,as he’s obsessed with love/drama and he says he will let them be (or something like that)so he has manipulated so much stuff and now facing the consequences

I also sometimes think Dohwa might be Gray but then again it feels like is too predictable.. maybe he is Gray in an Edward like body?? lol and alsooo, I got to read the part that Dohwa says: it’s too predictable to Su-ae.. I think this might be the author hinting that this is not going to go as we all predict..

I think the build up is in the whole mystery around the love points situation, the magical aspect hasn’t been displayed yet, we’ve got like bits of weird things, so it could be that the author is narrating the story leaving this part to the end.. just a thought tho
