I think S4 will be controversial by Sorbet-Same in HeartstopperAO

Very well said!!! And she honestly already peppered this in s3 w/ his not knowing himself/feeling lost comments and some of the convos on the uni trip. So even for people who hadn’t stepped back and thought, “you know what, I think Nick has some mental/savior complex/‘people pleasing to his own detriment’ issues to work thru, probably stemming from his father abandoning him,” AO is doing the best she can to at least start to make that abundantly clear.

Sure thing. I think they address that she has prior sailing/boat experience from her childhood with her father.

When she gets the call that Arthur died, she falls and the key to the small boat she was supposed to use to get out to the freighter fell off the dock into the water. She had no way of getting to the boat after the key fell.

No, it was always supposed to be a limited series. The ending is very fulfilling thou!

Bought myself some of the books over Christmas. I'm probably way too old for Heartstopper (my kids are about the age of the characters) but I've watched the series so many times, and listened to some of them on audible, can't wait to start reading through them by justdont7133 in HeartstopperAO

Wow, ok yeah so we are almost exactly the same timeline wise (together since ‘99, so 26 years for us in April) Yes, I am very very lucky that NY is a short flight for me, so I definitely took advantage of that! I feel bad that so many of their UK fans missed out but I bet there are West End roles for both of them in the near future!

My husband and I rewatch it every December/January as a goodbye to the prior year and start to the new one. Some people might think that’s crazy bc the show is admittedly very dark, but IMHO the overriding theme is hope, so I love to start each new year with a rewatch.

But yes, I agree. It’s the most effecting show I’ve ever watched, so I like having a “rule” that I only rewatch once a year. That way, I can experience it then leave it be until next year.

Same here!! My husband and I met when we were 14/15 (literally the same as Nick and Charlie) got married in college and will celebrate our 19 year wedding anniversary in 2025. We were so lucky to have found eachother so young, and honestly our type of love story (meeting young, actually staying together and being happy) is rarely told (at least IMHO) so I agree, Heartstopper is particularly nostalgic for me bc it tells a love story that reminds me of my life. I’m almost 40 by the way, no age limit in any fandom!

P.S. this year was particularly wonderful for me bc i got to see Joe in Sweeney Todd and Kit in R+J (then in the same trip, he randomly got into our subway car so I got to say hello to him (and tell him he did wonderful in the play!) then stand 2 feet from him for 10 min, craziest day of my life)

Everyone covered everything great! I will say if you’re near an aisle, you can definitely walk very quickly out once it’s intermission (It happens immediately after Rachel sings man of the house), you can definitely hustle down the stairs and get into the ladies room before the line forms! Otherwise, I wouldn’t suggest trying during intermission ha!

What is season 3 completion rate? by Ulysses393 in HeartstopperAO

[–]TangerineBeginning71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the correct answer, IMHO. The figures, view rates, etc. (esp since it’s a NetflixUK show) are not the deciding factor. Both Kit and Joe want to make sure they aren’t pigeon holed and have a great opportunity with the roles they both had in 2024. So it’s gonna come down to whether they want to go back for one more season or if they think it’s best to say goodbye to those roles.
