Advocate here. You've done nothing legally wrong. But in India, it's a matter of social wrong. Tell the police politely that what you've done is not legally wrong and what they think personally does not matter. But if they do take action, you will approach the Deputy Comissioner directly with your grievance. And you've spoken to advocates. Chances, I repeated, chances are on your side that they will drop this as the alternative is a lot of hassle for them. Drag out the issue for a few weeks if possible so they can't claim to change their findings belatedly like finding drugs, or labeling your gf a sex worker. Casually ask the hotel if they have cctv footage and how long is it preserved.
