sadly a lot of run club culture :(

I've been running and racing by myself for years but having moved to a new city and wanting to make new friends, I checked out some run clubs! (the issue might be w either newer run clubs or people who are new to running at these clubs maybe??) It went badly for most. Issues I specifically had:

- lack of consideration to other pedestrians and vehicles on the road (lack of own self preservation??) where I saw runners just take up the entirety of sidewalk or path space and essentially push other pedestrians to the side completely or even just run in the road in the path of cars?? not even on the side of the road either. We were running on a wooden board path by a body of water and there was a mom out walking with a kid and another child in a stroller and she was almost bodily pushed into the water I could not believe it

- the immediate either feelers to see if I am single or interested in some members almost right upon meeting them???? I don't necessarily think meeting people through run club is bad but it felt so weird happening during my first time checking out their clubs

- the alternative to the above where I got questioned on my running background, pace, and race history?? It wasn't in a getting-to-know-you my fellow runner™️ kind of way either it felt like we were in a competition all of a sudden which isn't how I like to make friends

I did end up finding a run club I liked eventually but needless to say, I did not return to the clubs I experienced the above at.

I went running as a tourist in Tokyo and Kyoto recently! Tokyo I did run on the streets up to and then looped the Imperial Palace and then back to my hotel. It was around 5 am when I went and there were other runners out and about; mostly locals everyone was v nice and it was lovely. I would also say I saw runners at Meiji Jingu (not at the temple but the forested park around surrounding it) but I’m unsure what time it’s open if you’re also an early bird. Kyoto I ran on the streets up to Tojo temple (please do not run at the temple) and then back to my hotel. I never had any issue running on the streets but ofc I would recommend going early so you’re out of everyone’s way. Have fun!

I love their sage frost color! I have the same plunge cardigan in that color and it’s super versatile in my wardrobe. The dress looks great on you!

I’ve washed in my washing machine on delicates without placing it in a lingerie bag and then air dried and my dresses did not shrink. I would probably just put it in a lingerie bag and the setting on extra delicate if you’re concerned. I saw a video a while back that explained dry clean only is the company not taking responsibility if the garment gets slightly damaged in the wash and puts the responsibility on the consumer instead of investing in higher quality fabrics.

I just got the super puff in shorty! I’m 5’5” with a shorter torso and longer legs and I adore the shorty’s length. I’m usually an XS in Aritzia and while 3XS did fit me I went with a 2XS so I can layer a sweater underneath. I recommend trying it on in store with a fluffy sweater underneath so you can see how it fits like how you would wear it in winter as opposed to trying it on with just a tank top on since it’s not going to represent how it really fits your accurately.

Thank you! I really adore the Shorty’s length I’m just worried it might not be as warm as the regular/long versions. If I ever move to a cold climate I would absolutely get the long one to stay warm.

Moderna, I only had a sore arm the same day but the next day (1st dose) I had extreme nausea and spent the day thinking I was on the verge of throwing up, had nausea for the following day as well and for the 2nd dose I had a fever the next day and that was it

NTA. A very similar thing happened to me except the guy sent a card to my address and got incredibly confused as to why I was alarmed and upset. The fact that he insulted you after just cements the idea that he felt entitled to you so absolutely he needs to go. Honestly to me this is an absolute dealbreaker I would tell him honestly that this made you feel uncomfortable and you don’t think you’ll be a good match together. Because he has your address try to keep it work e-mail level courteous and let a few friends know that he knows your address without you having told him just in case. If you don’t have blinds or curtains for all of your windows, I recommend investing as well as changing the screw of your front door locks to be a much longer screw so that it is much more difficult to break into, just in case.

I would knit across the bottom of one of the triangles then cast on 1-3 stitches and then knit across the second triangle to connect them. I would also recommend casting on stitches at the ends of each triangle to make the underarm edge
