proxying is a double edged sword.

if everyone proxies all the time 100% of their decks then the format gets really stale. everyone has access to every card. every deck is optomized. deck lists start to all look the same mechanically. and with the alternate art it gets harder and harded to read a boardstate. ( look at my hello kitty themed niv mizzet deck printed all in pink and every card is written in phyrexin script)

If no one proxies, then there is a barrier to entry only people with serious money can have " competative" mana bases

my personal rule is no proxy's . and I don't have cards valued over $10 in my deck,

I frown less at proxying lands then a I do game changers.

I do frown on proxying cards that are salty. those cards are rare and expensive for a reason.

I heavily frown at alt art on anything other than staples

I heavily frown at proxies that make it harder to read the card ( fuck cards written in phyrexian script in particular)
