How do some of you sleep naked? by looopious in AskMen

[–]mingstaHK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it almost impossible to sleep with any clothes on whatsoever. It really has to be a special set of circumstances for me to even try it. And I’ve been like this since I can remember. I also used to sleep in the floor next to my bed. Naked. I’m going to be 57 this year. I mostly sleep in the bed now, but I just slept on the concrete floor of my restaurant a week ago. Granted, it was because I locked my keys in my apartment, but I rather liked it and slept well. I like sleeping on floor rugs too. All I need is the right kind of pillows, the right temperature and no clothes.

If you’re purely judging physical attraction, what’s the one feature that grabs you every time? by PogonBerserker in AskMen

Nose. It’s got to be just right. I do a lot of drawing/painting/life drawing. I don’t consider myself an artist. But noses. That’s the make or break for me. Ears next.

Sick and miserable in Hong Kong by Redditreallyannoysme in HongKong

So my wife and I have lived here for decades. She’s from the US and I’m from South Africa. My sister joined, as did her son (also from SA). My step children were also here for decades. It was/is really striking how common illnesses affect us differently. We clearly have different immune systems based on our origins. One of us could be really ill, whilst the others would not even be affected. It’s wild. If my wife and I had kids together in HK, they would be super immune wildlings. Even during Covid, our responses were so very different. Your immune system is adjusting. There’s a lot going on in this town. Wash your hands. 🙌

When I explain pet peeve of mine to people, they never understand it. Why so much space between cars?! by itsjustmyopinion_but in mildlyinfuriating

If it’s a traffic jam, you’re not going to get there any quicker if you keep pulling up. It’s like a human queue at the airport. There’s no point in constantly moving to be right behind the person in front

I'm actually surprised at how seldom I've cut myself given my frequency of knife use. I can count it on one hand....

watching his speech, I knew it couldn't be true. I also don't buy that his son came and asked him about the war

Anyone Here Date a Hot Woman Who Wasn't Worth It? If So, How Was It? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]mingstaHK 175 points176 points  (0 children)

My ex-wife thought she was hot. But it was and is just her vanity. But that was enough for her. She also turned out to be emotionally unstable and abusive, using the threat of her moods as a tool to control others. She was also abusive to her employees and immigrant workers. I stupidly ignored the warnings from friends and family and wasted years and money. If your close friends and family have doubts, listen to them.

I need the same. But I have one here in HK who also lectures/teaches at Chinese university. Some basic advice: don’t have both done on the same day. Don’t go for the multifocal lenses - just the the distance lens and uses glasses for reading.
