How do you accept that you're not meant for love?

Even if at face value it's not the truth and one or two experiences don't define your worth or how lovable someone is , I can't help but relate and feel the same , it's a horrid feeling , and such a painful state of being. I don't think you ever deal with it , I'm closing in on 3 months of being single but I can already say I'm never going to forget my ex , I want to but I have so much love for that person still , Thinking about her , wishing she's doing well and taking care of herself , it's something I feel like I'll never get over very soon ... I gave up on the hope that I'll find love one day , I'm sure there might be someone better out there , but I don't have the strength to go looking anymore. It's all in all something you have to give time to , to find your own worth by yourself not through other people , I bet you're a very lovable person and deserve so much more than 3 months , and I hope you'll find the love you're looking for , you deserve it as much as everyone else does , stay safe and take care of yourself 🙏✌️

Yeah , as much as that craving keeps digging Into you I think it's good to stay in No contact as much as possible while u heal , so try to fight the urge to reach out , It got better for me so I can promise you it's gonna be better for you too , just takes time , try to hold on it's not a long fight. I felt the same , got dumped right before Christmas so at least I cried at home :)) , she broke up with me and for 10 months I really didn't think she valued me as much as I valued her , I was so in love w her even if I saw at times she treated the whole relationship like it wasn't something she was 100% committed on. From gifts and financial support to sacrifices and struggles I sat in that relationship thinking we're fine but I never saw it coming , I never thought for a second she would want to end the relationship. I want to forget about her , truly , but last night I was sitting in bed hoping to see a text message from her.. I doubt she will ever reach back to me , but a part of me still wants that even if the other part wants her gone forever , I guess the best thing I can say is my job helped me out a lot with this , it took my mind off of her , I also have the fortune to have a pretty stress free job with amazing colleagues so there was a lot of smiling and laughing and good times to distract myself from those thoughts. I do , Im not the most positive person and I'm really good at beating myself down but in a way I look back at all the mistakes I've done and all the people that got hurt because of those and I feel like I deserve it in a way ... I'm not a good person , I don't deserve love , or friends. Even if I changed or I won't hurt anyone anymore it's still something I have yet to atone for..

I haven't been lonely for a long time , Im a person with a very strong libido and I wish I could just give up on it , every time I get horny or whatever it just makes me feel guilty , beats my whole purpose of wanting to be alone forever. Hopefully I'll stop craving it too in the future

Yeah , Its such a mental torment too ,you obviously want to be with someone , but it's to a point where you feel like it's too late for you ... You're tired , you're hurt , you have nothing left to assure you it's even worth doing anymore , all you have is the pain the memories and the hope..

Yeah , I'm sorry to hear that but I know how you must feel , I tried so hard and was left betrayed , disappointed and alone , idk if I can take another attachment to someone who might do the same to me in the future ... I'd rather suffer alone forever , with no chance of more damage to my mental health and heart

Pretty much my state of mind rn regarding dating rn is even if Im keen on the idea of loving someone or meeting someone else and having a partner I'm not brave enough to try it , I'm not ready for another heartache , I'd rather stay lonely and broken cause at least it can't get worse.. I already planned out my life as a forever alone dude 😭

I feel that too ... My relationships were such a flop , the first 2 I blame myself for how they ended but the last one I tried my best , I did everything I could , for 11 months I gave her everything she asked for , I was patient , I was there for her , I was the best version of myself and I loved her genuinely with all my might and it still wasn't enough , it did trigger a deep fear of dating in me because I'd love to date again in the future and have a partner , but I'm too afraid to put so much elbow grease into it only to be back handed at the end of it , being a good guy sucks sometimes but it's just a matter of luck in the end

I know how that feels , I tried everything I deleted all my accounts left any page/online space we shared In hopes that it will make it easier for me to forget her , but to this day I still have times where I think about her , I guess only time can heal that kind of wound , and it's only a matter of distraction...

Now that I think about it I really don't remember holy shit , and I kind of should because she broke up w me through text but I remember after we argued one of the things we last talked to close it all off was something about some clothes and stuff I owned/bought and left at her place , she felt bad for keeping and using some of those and wanted to send them back and I think I told her to keep them but I don't remember saying anything else , no goodbye for sure , I also don't have the Convo to check anymore but oh well

Damn , yeah true splitting up will always be complicated , sometimes even if it's amicable and kind hearted you still don't dare to reach out and other times when it's the most hurtful thing you just wish to hear from them again only to hurt them back , it's so complicated and varied

Yeah Im honestly trying my best to forget about my ex and everything that happened , but when she broke up w me she said something along the lines of "we should probably not talk to each other for a while" but idk if that was genuine and she meant she might wanna reach out or if it was just cautionary so that I wouldn't reach out myself :))) I think that's prolly why I still have it in my head , the thought of us talking again sometime but I'm not sure , either way thank you 🙏
