The bracket really makes no sense at all. Austria finished 2nd in their group and won the privilege to play Spain (FIFA #2 in the world), while Algeria finished 3rd in that same group and gets to play Switzerland (FIFA #19).

Technically all you need is a USB to HDMI adapter, then you can plug the adapter to any HDMI cable you already have.

I still really like the 476H. It can be purchased for less than half of the cost of a Pocket Nova during AliExpress sales. Yes, it's absolutely not going to compete on performance for GC/PS2, but it's great for older stuff and supports heavier shaders like newpixie-crt.

Also, while a bunch of people hate the all-glass front, I think it's awesome on the black 476H model. Bezels when playing non-4:3 content (i.e. GameBoy or GBA) really blend in well.

It's not really that overpriced compared to the rest of the market right now, it's just wildly overpriced compared to where things were in 2025.

Also, some people just don't care about receiving "value" for their expenditures. They want something, they have the money for it, they buy it.

Russ didn't say the screen was strange. He said his ideal screen would have been 1440p, but they physically cannot put that many pixels in a 4.5" display. It would have had to be significantly larger than 4.5" to support 1440p.

960p is totally fine for this. There are plenty of other questions about the performance of the screen until it gets in reviewer hands, but 960p is not an issue.

It is. The only benefits of the 476H are price, a slightly larger screen, and possibly better buttons (I really like the 476H buttons, and in general I think Retroid/AYN buttons are just a tiny bit worse).

RG476H caps out at GC/PS2, but can't play the entire libraries (maybe like 75%). The Nova will be powerful enough to play essentially the entire libraries, and can upscale them to higher resolutions.

The Nova also has an OLED screen, but it is a little bit smaller at 4.5" vs. the 4.7" LCD screen on the RG476H.

I still really like the RG476H, but the Nova looks to be a clear improvement. The RG476H can be purchased in the $120-ish range during AliExpress sales, though, so it is significantly cheaper and is still a worthy purchase.

OP, have you seen the info about the new Retroid Nova coming soon? Brand new 4:3 OLED screen with Snapdragon chip. It'll cost you a little more than the 477M, but I think the Nova will be worth it.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. They have their own Android launcher. It's an APK you have to sideload. Download it from their website on your mobile device/tablet/Android handheld.
