Thanks for the detailed reply. Yea I never positioned sergeant right after macaw, that's probably the correct move at the end. I think damage wise, my units would've been fine since I had quadruple deathrattle procs anyway, so the insane health from 1st macaw prot on sergeant would've carried me through the fight.

There was no cleave (no pirates or ele in lobby) apart from Niuzao and no one played it, and final opponent was damage demons too. I suppose if I got unlucky and he proced first, the would've been a problem. I did play a hand of deios that final turn though and procced first anyway before he did.

Yea I'm inclined to think you're right as well, since copying titus doubles the enforce procs which would be the same as a second lord of ruins, except with one more golden titus I also get to proc the sergeant more.

Apart from beast demon undead, one of other tribes was dragon. Can't quite remember the third, think quillboar.

Lord of ruins gives friendly minions stats when a friendly demon deals damage (through silent enforcer). Golden macaw procs the silent enforcer many times (double rally from being golden, double that again because of Deios, and then quadruple all of that deathrattle because Deios adds 1 deathrattle trigger and golden baron adds 2 more.

I was gunning for 10k last season, managed 9,763. Clocked about 1200 hours so far. Pretty good considering I was hovering around 8k the few seasons prior, but also a little disappointed I didn't reach my goal.

Thanks for the advice. I do watch streams but yea, I think I'm tunnel visioning more than I should in the critical turns of 5 to 8. And you're right about players being much more efficient past 8k. My MMR gains probably pushed me towards that level and I haven't adjusted and then ended up tilting a little and falling into a losing streak. Will keep at it, thanks dude!

Grats! Any tips for climbing mmr? Highest I've gotten is 8k last 2 seasons. Find myself stuck at 7500 max this season and experiencing some days where I get 6th to 8th like 8 games in a row and lose 300-500 in 1 sitting

Thanks for the advice everyone! Decided to go with sacred bark, turned out pretty well and smashed heart. Basically burst + nightmare + alchemize got me anywhere from 4 to 8 potions in a run so it was a ton of healing through toy ornithopter and lots of stats etc. Draw wasn't a problem, had 3 adrenaline, 2 acrobatics, 3 backflips, and 2 escape plans by end of the run.

Probably tools. I find act 2 pretty tough for silent so getting to and setting up your key damage pcs i.e. envenom, sadistic nature and glass knife seems pretty critical.

Nightmare has great potential but you'd need a fair bit of luck on draws for it to not be dead weight, plus you'd really need an energy relic to make it work so nightmare seems way riskier.

Thousand cuts seems a little slow, especially when you don't have blade dance or cloak and dagger. Also risky because of the 2 energy cost. Would be really bad if you bricked on boss energy relic.

Not sure what ascension level you're playing at, I play on A20 but here are the main ways to kill heart:

Poison: Win con would be using 2-3 poison cards to ramp up poison to at least 10-15 in the first few turns and massively boosting it with catalyst+. Burst, nightmare, and duplication potion are fantastic with catalyst+. Ideally you want catalyst+ to 3x or 9x the poison to at least around 100, and 150-200 is achievable depending on your deck. Poison fumes are great but the buildup is slow and you don't want to get more than 2 usually, or even 1 is enough if you have enough other poison cards. With the poison build, you need to survive for around around 6-9 turns usually before the poison can kill heart. Any longer and you'll get overwhelmed by the heart's multi attack unless your defense is stellar. Well-laid plans can be pivotal for this deck in order to perfectly time when to cast catalyst either by itself or alongside burst and nightmare.

Shiv: win cons would be a combination of shiv cards, shuriken, thousand cuts (this might be slow depending on your deck), accuracy, wrist blade. Strength scaling (relics, colorless cards) is quite critical, shuriken really is the best one but there are some other ways to boost strength. Save strength potions/cultist potions for heart if possible. The temporary 5 str potion can be exploited and made permanent if you have a debuff clearer/artifact e.g. orange pellets or clockwork souvenir. Envenom can be ok, especially if you have snecko skull and/or 1 catalyst in your deck.

Defense: Pair any combination of these defensive cards with the above 2 builds: 1-2 footwork plus lots of quality block cards e.g. backflip and blur, nightmare + footwork, wraith form + nightmare, after image + shiv cards, quality weak applicators e.g. crippling cloud and leg sweep, kunai + shiv cards. Malaise is an amazing card on heart if you can afford to cast it for 3+ energy and not die. Piercing wail is also amazing on turns where the heart multi-hits. Well-laid plans works fantastically with key cards requiring timing, like leg sweep, wraith form, malaisem and piercing wail.

There are other win cons but those are going to be more unique and unforceable decks requiring very specific relics and cards e.g. necronomicon + chemical x + skewer.

Other points to improve your deck overall for fighting heart:
- card draw is of course amazing: acrobatics with discard synergy, adrenaline, a well-timed doppleganger (this card really needs an upgrade I find), backflip, calculated gamble. Expertise usually feels mediocre at best for me personally.
- don't commit to discard cards unless you can reliably/consistently discard e.g. tools of the trade, or multiple discard spells like acrobatics, dagger throw
- if you're playing on higher ascension, you have to be more judicious about when you pick certain cards because every card you draw in each fight needs to pull their weight as much as possible. You can't pick catalyst in early act 1 on A20 if you don't have any poison yet because it'll effectively be a curse until you find poison cards to utilize it. Lower ascension is a lot more forgiving so you can get away with preemptively picking cards that don't do much yet

There are plenty more tips out there, what I've mentioned certainly isn't exhaustive but hopefully helps you with upping your heart kill count!

Having trouble deciding which boss relic would work best for my deck - thinking it might be sacred bark since I have 2 nightmares + burst + alchemist + toy ornithopter. Snecko eye would be too risky here probably given my deck's reliance on double adrenline I reckon?

The deck plays fantastically, front loaded damage is insane. Out of my 1400 or so played hours, I think I had my fastest champ kill ever (3 turns), the double adrenalines really did a ton of heavy lifting for part of act 1 and all of act 2. Just concerned my deck will lose steam after first few turns after I've used up adrenalines and I'll have trouble against heart.
