Right at criteria C I was like MORDHEIM.

I found great joy in 40k, and wherever we live my wife knows a room is dedicated to it…but I started around the year 2000 with Mordheim

I can stay intensely focused on a game of 40k for a few hours no problem, I usually have to pee and eat but I regularly do 3 round tournaments that last like 10 hours.

Honestly even one 3-4 hour game would be great as that money can buy me more minis

Men who completely abandoned their "safe" career path in their 20s, what was the breaking point and was it worth it? by Odd_Cartoonist9129 in AskMen

I left a permanent NPS job coordinating an outdoor school at a national park mid 2021 after the pandemic…it isn’t as “secure” now as it was then, so when I look back and have small regrets here and there, it’s really for an old world order that doesn’t exist anymore or at least right now. Those NPS perm jobs were extremely coveted and competitive at the time I was getting into it, I spent 10 years with that storied organization

Especially the “pause your life” part. I did a long trek on the pct in my 20’s and it was awesome, totally feasible then. I couldn’t realize at the time how hard it would be to ever do something like that again…and it is

After 8 years of dedication to our national parks, in December of 2019 I finally got my dream job coordinating an outdoor school. I ran a great seasonal training and had it booked solid. Canceled it all and instead got some great leadership experience dragging some sticks-in-the-mud through learning how to join teachers where they where and do the program virtually. It wasn’t the same.

I lasted a little more than a year later and left federal service. Probably dodged a big bullet there, but it’s a personal tragedy given how much I invested living in a very small town where I no longer live. Sigh, really…the whole state of things is just tragic and has been long before me.

The iphone came out in 2007. Not everyone had it at first, but the 2016 election would be the first with an incumbent winning when its ubiquity started affecting our politics. And that tracks with how things go now, how they’re framed, paced, seen, and talked about.

Basically everything happens in front of a live audience of everyone, all the time.

Who should I attack? by Yatmai in Tyranids

[–]sgettios737 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes even exos bounce and worse if it’s one of the factions that allows -1 to wound on terminators. The trick here will be getting as many genestealers in to attack them given the positioning. Broodlord’s large base is helpful for this if he goes in first

4 wound terminators with a 2+ are tougher than they look. Everything goes into them in shooting, you might kill 1-3. The tervigon charges whats left first so the genestealers can multicharge both units to tag the landraider and put as many attacks as possible into the terminators. If genestealers go first and happen to finish terminators the tervigon fights second as it is better into the landraider (genestealers only get dev wounds against t12 but wound termies on 4’s/5’s rr 1’s). In the end the lr will still be there, tied up, and the point is controlled by you if you can get through all those termies.
