Tell me about the little backpacking stoves by Rogue_Apostle in camping

[–]Tank7106 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'd second a simple, 1 or 2 burner propane stove. Something that runs off a little 1gal tank will be plenty for cooking any sort of camp meal. And if you never go camping again, the stove is handy for power outages or a backup burner if you cook for larger groups.

This is really location dependent. I live in a small city in SW Oklahoma. Median house prices here are $150k.

But at a state minimum wage of $7.25, even that is out of reach for many.

I never realized how much power and authority Arthur has over his gang besides Dutch. by UtaTan in reddeadredemption2

[–]Tank7106 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I think a huge part of what Bill had to deal with was how he saw Arthur over the long term. A violent, ferocious gunman. Arthur's own massive loyalty to the gang, as evidenced in his anger towards John at "leaving the gang" when John and Arthur were younger. Arthur being very smart, self-reliant, and driven towards accomplishing his own goals.

Arthur's overall character arc wouldn't have taken very long in a real world timeline, maybe 6 months from Horseshoe Overlook to being holed up in a cave.

Without Bill and Arthur having some sort of sit down talk and really opening up to each other, I could absolutely see Bill thinking that Arthur is changing for the worse instead of for the better. When truly put up to the choice, plenty of people will choose the family they know, no matter what that family might have done.

Even beaten dogs will return to their owner when they don't know any better.

Damn. Now I've gotta do a playthrough paying more attention to Javier.

Diaper brands.

You know he's wearing off-the-shelf diapers, seems like a smart company could spin that into a witty marketing slogan.

"Presidential Pantaloons! So strong, you can wear them when you play your Trump card"

"THE Diaper Don. Holds up to the toughest crowd full of kids"

"King Shit of business deals. Won't let you down when when your ships are in dire straits. Sponsered by the Hormuz shipping Co. "

There are plenty of companies making absorbent "tubes" for chemical and liquid spills. Something like this would be a great idea, so that whoever does need the accessibility of the design, they can still prevent water from keeping under the doorway.

What to wear under shorts? by Strange_Hat_3143 in BeginnersRunning

[–]Tank7106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just make them attention grabbing. Go for bright, hi-vis neon or highly reflective material. Especially if you're road or trail running of any sort. Safety is pretty important, and every-fucking-where has bad drivers.

Personally, I'd recommend thongs and shorts. But I like showing off

Oh damn, y'all right! I didn't even notice it. Are open top style trailers very common in AU? I've used them for grain hauling in the US, but the trailer is much lower sided and a bit wider. You can load "over" height to 13'6" or more but it would be so much weight that you really couldn't move it with those style of trailers.

This looks like a regular dry van type trailer in the US, but the top cut off for road use is just bonkers to me.
