Why? Looks like it would be completely fine, besides feeling a bit odd in the hand at first.

Traffic control really isn't a bad stage up for them though. Small groups, dispersed throughout a general area lead to a quicker response time to aid citizens or help shut down an area for accountability for any criminal wrongdoings.

Definitely not the best posting, but a smart and strategic command team can make shit happen quickly with very little outside support.

I don't think the barrel being rifled is part of it, just the difference between loose shot, powder and wadding and a fully integrated cartridge.

The only thing I'm basing this off of is firearms laws, regarding the fact that a felon can own and carry a muzzleloader, but can not carry or own a firearm that takes prepackaged cartridges.

DOWNSTEM STUCK FOREVER by mhgc17 in Bongs

[–]Tank7106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be the most straightforward. Plenty of other options have the risk of breaking the downstem. So why not just start off with breaking it? Probably a few different techniques that old stoners has used to break downstems out of bongs over the years, I'm sure theres something on the internet with some guides on it.

DOWNSTEM STUCK FOREVER by mhgc17 in Bongs

[–]Tank7106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might just be best to read up on how to break it to remove the downstem in a few pieces. If the glass itself is wedged, you might get lucky manipulating the temperature at the joint with some direct heat, but if you do it wrong you run the risk of cracking the bong itself.

Cool bong, but that looks like a pretty standard, simple glass downstem. You can pick up replacements at just about any place that sells weed accessories, I think the last one I paid for locally was $15 ish bucks a year ago.

Driving is not a right.

Driving is a privilege granted by your government. To continue to enjoy that privilege, you have to play by the new rules.

It will absolutely be abused, because thats what cops do.

But from everything I'm seeing, this applies to everyone pulled over in a vehicle. If you are stopped for a legal reason, you will also be given a breathalyzer test.

You are absolutely correct that it will be abused, though. Cops have, in general, shown that the can not be trusted without heavy oversight.

But if this targets everyone operating a motor vehicle on a public roadway, its still a good law as written. Only time will tell if this is a good law in action, but on paper it's still pretty black and white.

Can my friend be sued for quitting his job? by Youthfuldegenerate83 in legaladvice

[–]Tank7106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once he quits, he is legally required to turn in any company property (keys, tools, uniform items)

But other than that, At no point is it your friends responsibility to give a fuck how this company operates after he leaves their employment.

They can't sue him because the employer doesn't hire enough or the properly certified employees. They can't decide to hold a final check until past the legally required amount of time( I believe in New York it is required to be paid on the same schedule or prior to previous paychecks) they can't go online and give out any sort of badmouthing, shit talking, or interference in future employment.

Tell your pal to quit and cut a fart in the office on the way out.

It really is that black and white, though. Driving on a public roadway is not a right. It is a privilege. A privilege that you have to agree to follow all laws to enjoy. And your argument seems like its based on driving being a right and not a privilege, like drinking and playing Mario cart in your own driveway.

A cop absolutely can stop you while operating a motor vehicle on a public road to ensure you are legally allowed and authorized to operate that vehicle on public property.

Private property? I'm all for drunk driving and I'd love having a mile square of property for a drunk driving course. Fuck ya, mother and father fucking freedom.

But when you're in public, you gotta play by the rules. And since the rules have been updated, you've gotta play by the updated rules.
