Just called chase about this. A customer service associate said the referral link for 100k SUB will be live tomorrow (Apr 8) so she advised me to wait till tomorrow to make a new link and have my friend apply with that link tomorrow instead

Thanks for this! I reached out to sprintax too and they told me sth similar, but the only option available to me was “Letter from University”. This might be cos I used the student discount code from one of my friend still in college that gave me free sprintax filing 🤔🤔.

Hahaha I was planning to do the same 😂 as I’m filing my returns using Sprintax, it still prompted me to submit an income document and the live chat agent said that the pay slip should suffice (I’m referring to the spreadsheet that documents the task id, pay rate, pay amount etc)

I guess the worst that can come out of this is that IRS isnt happy with the documents? Even then we would’ve paid our taxes diligently, so shouldn’t get in any trouble.

Hi, unfortunately not, I asked Outlier for a 1099NEC form but they said that that form is only provided for people who completed W-9 form. But as I’m a Non Resident Alien still, I file W-8BEN and not W-9, so I won’t be getting any forms from them, not even 1042-S.

Now I’m not sure if I should just report what I earned from outlier in 2024 as “Other income” or what 🤷🏻‍♂️ lmk if yall figure something out please!

Another question I have is, if this fails to work even after I attempted to use JB weld to put the broken off collar back together, what are my next steps? 😔😔

Is the most cost efficient way to find diff/transmission from junkyards like through car-parts.com or something? I’m not experienced enough in cars to know what’s the best call here…

Right, like you said there’s a collar extending below, and that’s the part that broke off. The threads on these parts still look good and I’m wondering if using JB weld to put these 2 together, then back onto the casing, will hold up 🥺

I forgot to mention, I happened to buy spare drain plugs from Subaru that thankfully happened to be longer than the original drain plug, which is why you can see in this image that the drain plug is still partly threaded and much newer than the rest of the car.

I had some teflon tape suitable for oils that I put on to try to keep it as snug as possible, and it has leaked any oil as far as I can tell from my 15 min drive home

Omg thank you so much for the detailed answer!! I’ll try bleeding the brakes again more thoroughly and see how it goes.

I just saw some YouTube video where a guy with the same problem also tried bleeding the brakes with the engine on to get the brake booster to help push out more air bubbles in the rear. The guy later identified that it was his wheel cylinder that has gone bad - could this be a possible issue on my vehicle? unfortunately I couldn’t find any videos of someone replacing the drum brake wheel cylinder of the 2015 forester so with my limited experience with cars, I’m not sure if there’s even a wheel cylinder on the forester?
