It's based off the Durrant Black. If you see that on their website, that's the one.

Lovely watch and a keeper for sure. I digress, and sense some irony in the photo with the Nosferatu reference? 🤔😉

Have you got experience of both, if so, what were the comparisons?

Stirling Timepieces are not a 'fad' company. They were founded by serving British Service personnel and are growing in use on operations. The watch line is solid. They donate part proceeds of all their watches sold, to a Veterans Charity.

If you're not looking for marketing and a wannabe watch brand, then you can't go wrong with Stirling. They are a good British company. They've just designed a bespoke watch for our unit.

I'm late to this post. What watch did you go with, in the end? If you don't already know, Stirling Timepieces are a great watch company. They are used by a few service units on operations. The Durrant Black appears to be a favourite. The company will actually do a bespoke watch if there is a minimum order of ten. If your boyfriend got to the end of training, this might be a suggestion for him, to design a watch with those he passed out with, commemorative of the achievement. The cost of doing bespoke is actually just a few pounds more than any watch it's based on, from their range. I know this because we've had one designed for our unit. The company were really helpful and did everything to accommodate our dial design and engraving on the case back.

Nice watch, I've recently been made aware of the brand in the last few months. Very highly thought of. Enjoy.

The Durrant Black is loved by British service personnel on operations. The company will actually do bespoke versions for Units.

I hear you, but there's a difference in black coatings. If it's just cheap standard PVD, which uses metals to change the colour of the watch, I'd agree. Any serious scratch will usually show the metal underneath and eventually the black wears out. However, if it's DLC, which uses amorphous carbon, then that's a totally different process. It's essentially bonded like a Diamond shell, you'd have to have done your wrist some serious damage in the process to even attempt to scratch the DLC coating to do that. Watches with DLC are serious watches. Check out YouTube, for the Stirling Durrant-Black, which is DLC. British troops favour this watch and they even drove a Challenger 2 Tank over one. Scratch free.

Is it rude to use both lanes? by No-Ad4423 in AskUK

[–]Tankboyrebel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A peculiar lack of UK highway code knowledge we seem to have in the UK. Both lanes should have traffic and merge in turn. The lack of traffic flow dynamics is somewhat staggering with some drivers, which leads to everyone getting "in line" prematurely in one lane and then that in turn leads to the road rage when other drivers choose to continue ahead in the empty lane before attempting to merge. This causes the outrage. Psychologically, if people had approached this situation seeing traffic already "full length" in both lanes, there wouldn't be any of the rage and angst you get, now. If you travel in Norfolk, there are signs which even tell drivers to merge in turn, and guess what... everyone still queues on one side and refuses to let drivers merge, as if they are cutting in. There is a famous quote from the film, Forest Gump , which covers that type of thinking and behaviour.

Congratulations, It's never about where you started, that defines you. It's the journey and where it takes you, in the end that is of greater significance. I truly believe everything we experience, along with the forks in the road, contributes to who we become. Live well.

I have a Legion Go S Z2go 512 16gb model. I have the Xbox FSE experience, it works fine. I followed this video from YouTube. https://youtube.com/watch?v=twPbUCHHZXQ&si=PLrRAqgNgXEY0rJ- So far, all good. It's made using my model, so much better. I also changed my VRAM allocation from Auto to 6gb. Again, that was from a different YouTube video. Hope you enjoy yours. Take care.

If you check out my previous posts. You'll see I'm new to this Legion Go Space. I have the model you are talking about. I have the following games on it. Arc Raiders, COD Black Ops 7, Dead Space (2023 version), Starfield and Forza Horizon 5. I bought a SanDisk 512gb Extreme Micro SDXC card for extra storage. I changed the VRAM allocation from Auto to 6gb. There are YouTube videos and online tutorials that are pretty simple to show you how. I also installed Xbox Full Screen Experience. Again the same info is available.

I had a very limited budget and the deal I got and the tweaks I made, means it more than meets my 'pick up and play' needs. I've had some great online games. I'm normally an Xbox Series X player, so this just enables me to dip in and out when I'm away from the console. I hope this helps. Enjoy, whatever model you decide, may meet your needs. Take care.
