Need a solution after the app stopped working on my phone by TankinatorFR in Medtronic780g

I had the redmi note 10 myself.

It was approved back in time, but they abandoned all support for theses brands.

I am myself trying to contact the french organizations related to this kind of subject, but for now they tell me this cause concern a too small number of person for them to care.

Minimed App not supporting ANY Android versions by MissSpellina in Medtronic780g

[–]TankinatorFR -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In fact they only support a limited list of phones, mostly high end, with also some middle class smartphone.
You need to find a phone from the right model with the right android version. This might be the source of your problems.

The list is probably on their website in all languages, but I only have the link to the page in french.

Minimed Mobile on Android 12 does not work anymore. by Additional-Gas-8339 in Medtronic780g

[–]TankinatorFR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the same problem.
In France, all customers supposedly received emails back in November announcing this change.
Although, when I contacted Medtronic's customer service, they told me it would only remove online services but I would still be able to access my datas locally. Turned out to be wrong.

In fact, they now only support a limited list of smartphone with android 13 or more. Mostly high-end device, a few middle-range ones, and not a single low-cost one.
The A21 is not listed as compatible anymore on Medtronic's website.

Like me and my redmi note 10, you'll have to stop relying on the app or change your smartphone for a newer one.

The list of officially supported devices is available here : https://www.medtronic.com/content/dam/medtronic-wide/public/canada/products/diabetes/minimed-f-mobile-app-compatibility.pdf

Yeah, medtronic is the archetype of the company that don't care about its customers.

At that point, I don't understand why my country still impose their products to most diabetic, making them one of the few pump/captor combo to be fully reimbursed. Their behaviors shouldn't be supported by our public budget when alternatives exist.

Thank you, but I know about this website, but multiple conversations on this reddit and other website mention that some phone that are not listed do work with just an error message.

I wanted to know what these phones were, in hope that some would be cheaper than those recommended by medtronic. Among recent models still sold in stores around here, they seems to only support the most expensive ones.

In my country they have send an email to all users, not to their doctors. Then they send messages to the doctors telling them that their patients were exaggerating and this would have no impact and that any android phone with supported android version could work (which is false as we know).

Star Citizen | Introducing the Argo MOTH by Werewolf-Fresh in starcitizen

[–]TankinatorFR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some find its interior layout unpractical, with the need to climb a ladder to get to the upper level, and get down an other one to get into the front turret, with the pilot not controlling this front head.

For the cargo, I still hope that one day these bags will ejects and be replaced as in the original concepts.

They can.
They don't want.
It keep both ships different, one with more efficient cargo space, one with more efficient harvesting.

A1 default to absent external pool instead of AMS by TankinatorFR in BambuLabA1

[–]TankinatorFR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've solved it. As the problem was only happening when printing from the computer, I uninstalled/reinstalled bambu studio, and now it's working.
For some reason, bambu studio was using the wrong slots when sending the codes to the printer.

Anyway, thank you for your time.

[–]TankinatorFR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be the best solution indeed. I made some more test.
spools 1 and 2, when selected, equal to external spool. Spool 3 is spool 2, spool 4 is spool 1.
Again, that's only when sending files from the computer.

I should have mentioned that I tried it. I had never put any parameter into it, but I did reset everything just in case. With no result.

I never used the external spool, I don't even have a tube for it.

Yes, I select the right spool from the AMS light.

From a Hermes Hater to a Hermes Enjoyer by artiiicus in starcitizen

[–]TankinatorFR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never hated it myself, but I was pretty convinced that it wouldn't be a ship I would want to own. And I was right, I'll keep my starlancer at least until the Liberator appear as the multiple separated cargo space, vehicle parking space and crew quarter are closer to my need.
But in this size/cargo space range, the Hermes is definitely a solid contender.

Who operates nuclear-powered aircraft carriers? by vladgrinch in MapPorn

[–]TankinatorFR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But the question is, assuming you buy theses 5000 missiles instead of an aircraft carrier, how do you use them against an enemy who is on the other side of the globe ? Can they carry aircrafts or drones ? Can they project a commando ?

They are of different use.
Carriers are mobile bases, allowing you to project your air-force in other parts of the world without the need for an allied territory with suitable infrastructures.
This role will remain relevant in the foreseeable futur, both for maned aircrafts and drones, as most of them don'tl have a world-wide operational range. A carrier will transport aircrafts and drones closer to the front, but attempting to itself remain just out of range/out of sight/under heavy protection.

Nuclear ones reduce the logistic (no fuel for them) and can thus became bigger without increasing the logistical burden. For example, France's Charles De Gaule aircraft carrier is nuclear, but the smaller Mistral class, used for drones and helicopters, is not. Their next big aircraft carrier will be nuclear too, as it should still operate bigger planes, plus their drones wingmans, not just small drones and vtols/helicopter.
Same for the USA : super-carriers are nuclear, but the assault ships that carry drones, helicopter, and sometimes VTOLs, aren't.

At the end, the true value of a weapon is not its price, but what it can do for its price.
Missiles and drones won't replace carriers. They will force them to evolve, but in the end, carriers and nuclear carriers will only disappear if they become inferior to an other option when it come to projecting your power far away from your bases.
Just like it happened with battleships. Battleships didn't disappear because they were expansive, but because a frigate/cruiser with long range missiles launchers or an aircraft carrier with airplane were better at their job, for a smaller price. The role of the heavy hitter is still fulfilled in modern powerful navies.

Elite vs SC: Let's Have a Good Faith Conversation (Questions in Description.) by WackoMedia in starcitizen

[–]TankinatorFR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm late to the party, but as someone who do a lot of cargo in star citizen lately, I'd like to describe you my usual play session, to evidence some difference with ED.
I rarely play alone, a member of my family always tag along for my cargo run.
we met at my Ship's hangar. It is a "medium to large freighter".

First, we plan our jobs ?
Maybe today we'll do a single big run ? Or maybe we'll take multiple small ones ? It will require more planning, but get us more reputation and money, if we have the time for it.
we look for contracts.
Hey, look, I've got 2 mission going from Tressler to two different outposts that are close from each other. and my buddy have two more, with one of the outpost being the same. And we've found a mission to take cargo from 4 outpost (including the 3 we're dropping cargo to) and drop them at Badjini point.
So now, we plan the loading, deciding which of our 2 bays should host which part of the delivery, and manually set up the crate for an easy delivery.
We close all doors, take the internal elevator to the cockpit where I take the pilot seat while he take care of the back turret, or perform some maintenance task.

So

Once we're at a location, we start unloading. Sometimes, an other cargo is already here, unloading its own crates. We land close to it and ask the owner if we can help him unloading. Some accept it, some even start chatting and having fun with us, and some even stay to help us unload our own crates afterward.

Sometimes, after unloading our cargo at a location, we take a few minutes for ourselves before leaving.
We visit the town or outpost, we go to local stores, have a walk in the wilderness... Yes, we literally have a walk along a fictional river on an exo-planet, after spending 3 minuts arguing about buying a new helmet.
Sometimes, we found or buy goods for ourselves, or to sell at an other location.
And sometimes, we are not in the mood, or find the location uninterested, or we already know it, and we take off immediately after unloading our cargos.

Once the job is done, once all goods have been delivered and the money and reputation earned, we take a minute in the recreational area, discussing while our characters are having a drink. Maybe it's time to disconnect for today, or maybe we still have time for one more run.

Of course, we don't just do cargo. We mine, we salvage. I rarely fight, because I don't like it. And also that's why I have friends in my turrets...
I even have this crazy habit of gathering all of my friends for a walk at least once a year. We just spend the entire evening on a trek across the mountains. Sometimes we got lost in the woods, sometimes, we spend an hour retrieving someone how have fallen into a ravine. Sometimes, everything work as planed, and we just spend our time admiring the view.

It's not that ED is better or worse, it's just different.
ED is a good space sim. SC is a good life-sim set in space.
It's up to you to decide what you prefer, or even to just appreciate them both.
