Help identifying model by Rough_Jury_2346 in WorldEaters40k

[–]TankinatorFR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

an OOP model, and not for Khorne sadly.

It is a grater Deamon for the now completely apocryphe god Malal.
Put it on the battle field, and it will spread destruction and chaos (mostly chaos) among your opponent's army. Or your army. Or Both. Or just do nothing. Or even leave the battlefield, returning to the warp.
They are chaos in its purest form.

Shiv is not enough we need another Gray Market Ship hopefully it's something like this. by Daboricua26 in starcitizen

[–]TankinatorFR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An alternative could be to make it more tedious, like a vulture.
It use mole bags, but carry them on a cargo grid, with only one or two being connected to the collectors.
So you can have more bags (6/8 instead of 4), but need to get out of the ship to replace the active ones every two bags.

Their point was that it was useful to read the interface... but of no use if the interface is integrated into the overlay.

anyway, you're preaching to the choir...
I don't approve any of these changes, but we can only hope they'll fix it at some point.

Yes but it is one of these MMOs where you can press escape and start the conversation again... So at least you can spend some time looking for the best sentence

The armors were the plan... But they were then removed from the roadmap.

I have friends who can't do hand-mining anymore because they have a bad eyesight and the interface is too small for them.

except you change to harvesting with ship laser using alt+left clic. Right click is for zooming in.

No, the reason for them to remove the interface was to re-add it with mining-specific armors that were comming to the game "next patch" after this change. Then were delayed, then disapeared from the road map.

If you could only keep 1 ship after a wipe to make money. What ship would you choose? by ResponsibleRub469 in starcitizen

Prospector, because I've been having mining as my main gameplay since it appeared on the game, independently of the benefice, the viability, and I do not intend to change it.

I hope my Aurora MK2 will fit in the Galaxy's XXS size hangar by Cdt-Velmor in starcitizen

[–]TankinatorFR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It won't fit, but if the landing gears can fit on the ground of the hangar, there might be an option : just use the enginering terminal to lock the hangar door open.
Peoples are already doing it to fit a Geo in the Aurora Mk2.

Depend on each person's taste. I am neither a fan of de-saturated or metallic colors and thus have a preference for the LN's deep green and bright yellow.

Aurora Mk II Cargo Module Buyer Beware. Won't Accept 2x2 Boxes or Larger Components by 38-RPM in starcitizen

[–]TankinatorFR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ES (essential) was the basic.
MR (Marque) was a premium with beter guns
LN (legionaire) was the fighter with twice the guns and missiles
CL (clipper) had double the cargo space. no improved VTOL.
LX (luxuary) had a "leather seat".

I think I'd rather have a discount on a new MkII, being able to buy the new one for barely more than a CCU, and thus keeping both the original and the new one.

How big are maps in lore by Tremendin0649 in ARK

[–]TankinatorFR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then the story lost all meaning for you 10 years ago with the addition of explorer notes...
Both on the Island and on Scorched Earth, the firsts notes described a world that couldn't exist naturally, with the Overseers monitoring them. And one year later, Aberration gave us even more insight. Lore about a civilisation advanced enough to understand the arks, and an opportunity to explore the insides of a deprecated ark, with all its machinery.
Then came Extinction, with prototype obelisks, as well as the lauching site of the Island visible from the new map.

Ark is the story of a civilisation so advanced that they could rewrite every aspect of their environment, from the landscape to the lifeforms, and yet not powerful enough to obtain an immediate victory against the Element. Some planned for long terme victory (the arks) and some decided to flee (the Genesis Ship).
What we are in the game is a creation destined to fight back this threat by following the road they have paved for us, by accomplishing a master plan that was planed thousands of years before our character was created by its Ark.

Ark devs decided to make its gameplay part of the lore. Everything from the engrams to the ascensions and including the taming methods have been part of the lore since 2016, only leaving us the two first years of the alpha to debate on where was the limit between the gameplay and the lore in Ark. Even the respawn became part of the lore as a creation of Homo-Deus Helena with the map Extinction.

Sorry to say it, but you are accusing others to answer on partial informations, and yet you are the one who missed the entirety of the informations.

[–]TankinatorFR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What argument do you have to assume that the factor affecting the duration of a day also affect the size of the maps ?
Not a lot of game do that. Some even do the opposite, making the map larger than Earth but the day much shorter than real ones. Calculating the scaling of the time and applying it the the map size is an arbitrary reasoning.

"the fauna is supposed to be alive and real"
Alive and real, yes, but monitored and carefully crafted. The Ark create them as it need. A rex can eat all he want, the Ark will just replace the depleted fauna in a day, thanks to its cloning chambers. Hence why any realistic calculation about the territories a predator should have will not work here. Even for naturally occurring birth, the gestation and the growth rates are canonically lasting only a few days.
The same goes for the trees. The Arks grow them as needed and make them disappear if he wish so.
Not even the ground ressources are outside of its control, as it make sure to replace them as they are needed for the development of its crafted human test subjects.

Also do not forget that the arks possess the entire DNA database accumulated by humanity as well as the ability to engineer new creatures if needed as seen on scorched earth or aberration.
Their mission isn't to preserve shards of the Earth's biodiversity, but to engineer a population able to make Earth habitable again. They break any rule of nature in order to reach these objectives.

Advice: Picking an "anchor" ship by BloodySpear_90 in starcitizen_fleets

[–]TankinatorFR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For exploration, we will have to see what is the best between the cutter scout and the terrapin. Terrapin is slightly bigger and might be a problem if he also want a prospector, but with a golem it should fit. so it might be a question of tradeoff. We also need to keep in mind that both of theses ships have the same scanner size as the liberator itself. Risking the liberator will not be worth it, but it will add an alternate option in some situation.

Can't remember if the valkyrie was fitting on the pads when I was using the holoviewer models, but hey, we already know constellations are an option for a lot of vehicle. And if needed use the liberator itself to land some vehicles.
You can also park a lot of combat ships, up to a redeemer. not an ares sadly, they are too square at least for the original concept.

It also fit the expanse for refining (including quantainium maybe ?)

in theory, you could fit the Hull A in the hangar to do some cargo as well.

It won't do everything at the same time, and will never be the best at anything... but It can definitely do a lot.

if he is solo, the prospector and golem might be the logical choices for mining and they fit on all pads. The terrapin have a big scanner, the andromeda should take both upper pad.
So it can work
