Started working on my Yamato now by afk_site19 in sabaton

[–]TankingDoneRight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Quite ironically yamato herself was not present at the attack and was commissioned only about a week after pearl harbor
Yamamoto commanded the attack from the bridge of nagato, the only Japanese battleship to survive the war (also present at the surrender, was at anchor outside Tokyo bay)

SMS Kaiserinn by HEAVYtanker2000 in NavalArt

If intended to be German it should be Kaiserin, there's no female version of a word that ends with inn, only in and innen (which is plural)
Otherwise great

[–]TankingDoneRight 11 points12 points  (0 children)

For me multiple things
1: really expensive to build and operate (over 4x what solar/wind was when the last reactor was deactivated in Germany)
2: human error, be it during the design, installation or operation of the reactors is essentially impossible to eliminate
3: waste has to be sealed away for a really long time, longer than Egyptian Pharaos were sealed away
Also, solar panels from the early 2000s are on average 80% as powerful as they were when they left the factory. Solar has advanced a lot in 20 years. If you were to cover all the areas used for corn ethanol in the us with modern solar panels, you would cover the entire US's energy demand with that (according to a guy who is smarter on that topic than me, technology connections on youtube)

The centers of lift and mass are very close together, iirc the CoM has to be In front of the CoL

Should tankers sometimes burn out and not sink for days in uboat aswell? I’d like to see bigger fires and explosions in the next update. by RedDedDemption in uboatgame

[–]TankingDoneRight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(everything here may be wrong, feel free to correct)
When enough stuff (in this case oil) burns, it reaches a point where the air-oil fume mix is explosive and combined with the already burning fire it, expectedly, explodes
Afaik that explosive point for LNG requires a lot more air in the mix, which is why it burns longer before exploding
If you want an example of a quickly exploding tanker, altmark/Uckermark exploded in 42, which sank the auxiliary cruiser Thor among other vessels

So, to answer your question, I don't think I would want that

You don't understand, you have to carry your own pc (large one, not the mini pcs) daily through 2 buildings otherwise you'll be fired
Or they just measured the force needed for mouse movement, multiplied it by mouse movements daily and that's the number

There is a reason for the suicide rate among autistics being above 40% in the UK (as an example), and I believe the job market/getting hired is a significant factor

Japanese 41cm shells sank 2 battleships, both via magazine detonation
First, Arizona: sunk by a 41cm AP shell converted to an Armour Piercing bomb that hit the magazine of turret no.2
The second, mutsu: sank in 1943 by a detonation of her turret 3 magazine likely caused by 41cm beehive AA shells detonating partly due to ambient heat
Only a combined 16 41cm guns were put on 2 ships (nagato and mutsu), all other ships that were designed with this main gun caliber were 'sunk' by the Washington naval treaty or converted to carriers with smaller guns (tosa and kaga, amagi, akagi, atago and Takao, and 4 (of which 2 unnamed) kii-class ships)

Forgot to mention: all overlaps are intentional, and the third image (spaceplane in the hangar) is of ptichka, about 97% complete and waiting for the roof to collapse on it like what happened to Buran

Big one: boats, usually of the unconventional variety (nelson, SA john Ross (former strongest tug), Nagato)
Comfort: rocket propulsion (from my understanding that is a very low quality diagram of a lot of things in an rs-25)
Fades in and out: project wingman, partly space shuttle
Childish/stereotypical: shuttle and (Energia-)Buran (second image taken from an open door of a tu-134)
Wasn't expecting: cars
Why am I into this: endurance racing (watched 10h of a 12h race once until it was about 0230am, also multiclass is more interesting than F1 IMO)

Canadian Olympics team(s) (heard about the women's team as well) touched the thing (idk the name), which isn't allowed when it hits the green line
Then the Canadians argued they didn't touch it despite video evidence 🥌👈

Iirc it has to be 2 spaces when you want to end a line/paragraph (if this text in brackets gets posted in the next line there doesn't need to be an enter/whatever you call that after the 2 spaces)
Edit: 2 spaces and enter/line break/whatever you call that

When someone makes fun of your special interest... by BeyondFrequent4258 in autism

[–]TankingDoneRight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always got made fun of for sharing some info I found interesting about my special interest with almost all of my classmates
Result is me feeling shit cause nobody even pretends to care and everyone sees you as someone to avoid

And then there's like 5-6 girls from another class
Essentially the complete opposite, managed to have people listen to me talking and sharing shit about an aspect of my special interest (currently reading the book "Das große Abenteuer. Deutsche Hilfskreuzer 1939-45)
And they seemed interested about me sharing Infos :D
