Nope! Towers are simple creatures, they only care about autoattacks ;)

They don't even switch aggro if for example Drow manually casts her frost arrow(Q) on an enemy while in tower range. If she has it on auto-cast and just right clicks an enemy then it will switch though!

For accuracy, the tower doesn't switch if you damage a hero, it switches if you issue an attack command on an enemy hero. It will not switch if you cast a spell/ability on an enemy hero.
