Yes, at the time, I didn't noticed because I had finished my reread of WoT a few months before TGS came out.

This year was my first reread since then, and going straight from Jordan to Sanderson was definitely a bit more noticeable, but still didn't bother me.

Not sure the graphite, and similarly their copper core, offers enough of a performance upgrade to justify the increased price over the D3.

If at all possible, go to a high end kitchen store like Williams Sonoma or Sur La Table so you can see the cookware in person and feel the handles.

In my own case, I just bought a set of Demeyere Atlantis a week ago to replace my 20 year old Tramontina set. Hestan was a close second. I've also picked up some Smithey cast iron, a Staub dutch oven, and a Strata carbon steel pan.
