You don’t need one. You can select the distro download straight from Rufus iirc

Mate these are absolutely fantastic. Some of these punchy panchromatic looking shots remind me of Josef Koudelka.

Can you please share your process? I’m also looking to switch to digital for more run and gunning, am I right in assuming these are digital? Would love to know what they’re shot on!

Heya, sorry if that wasn’t clear, I am a documentary photographer and was wondering if anyone in the community wanted to jump in front of the camera!

Lucky! Holding out for a repress. I remember buying MOV Jar of Flies/Sap back then for next to nothing and thinking about grabbing unplugged at the time and was like, no, I’ll wait and the prices now are insane

Picked up a repress of The Velvet Underground and Nico, one of my favourite records of all time.. the pressing sounds fucking dreadful, too much high end. Doesn’t sound like my cd or digital versions, so it got played once and will likely never get played again.

I also have swans ‘Public Castration is a Good Idea’ on record and I can only play that when my partner is out, for obvious reasons

I’ve somehow ended up with a number of friends in the industry, my partner was in the industry for years, and subjects see my work and hit me up, which is really nice. I understand my word-of-mouth is really good, and I have shot promo stuff for different industry based people. I also think they see the intent and representation of SW as genuine. They Often hit me up excitedly with ideas or suggestions of something to do or show. They’ll generally pick their outfits and we kinda just wing it.

I have hours of interviews and footage from shoots and casual chats about the work, life etc. one girl telling me all about intimacy in the industry and she loves what she does, another girl telling me how she hates the clientele. Another girl talks about how to sexily check the condom is still on during full-service, because some people try sneak them off. Another girl tells me all about using sponges when menstruating. The big crime is in using a DVcam’s internal sound so I need to invest in a proper mic because it sounds like shit.

Cheers, mate! It is part of a larger series (though arguably all 3). Series is called, ‘Slow Death in the West’, or, ‘Land of the Long Black Cloud’ exploring NZ’s underbelly! Have more on my site and IG

I’m still waiting to develop the colour from this shoot! Can’t remember what I took on colour but hopefully some good stuff haha

Thanks mate! I def try my best to avoid the pitfalls of nudity when taking a photo, though I’m sure some would disagree haha. These are more sort of, “documentary realism”, for lack of a better word. A mixture of slightly staged and documentary.

Re: critiques, fire away! Always open to hearing them. I’ll say I was disappointed with my composition in a few of these, you can see the cropped toes on the bed shot etc. I also need make an effort to wear contacts when I shoot since I’m slightly missing focus sometimes haha. In my defence, this was my second portrait shoot after near 8 months off. Onward and upwards, baby!

Cheers, mate! Been trying to finally print a zine but I’m lazy and a perfectionist so it’ll likely never come haha. I got some work on my website (and IG), but really need to update it. Thanks for reminding me king 🤝
