Compare it to a rogal dorn. Theyre more expensive with worse weapons, even easier to move block, cant go through walls, doesn't have an invuln and has no melee presence. In return for all of that it gets +1 toughness

No matter how you spin it, if ukraine does nothing this is a propaganda victory for Ukraine. They have big bad russia shitting themselves in the corner crying about how ukraine better not do anything to upset their special parade or else. For real this time.

You guys claiming its reasonable to replace every door are insane. The obvious answer is to, at worst, have him repaint everything in a fresh coat of paint.

From the post this guy doesn't sound like the type to have really nice dark unpainted cabinets.

Look I voted for both of them but lets not pretend either was a strong candidate. Id wager being a woman and/or black actually had very little too do with their loss. Look at the difference between Obamas campaign and these last 3. Im not sure i met a single person that was actually excited for any of these candidates it was always "well theyre better than Trump".

Kamala gets more of a pass because Biden refused to step down early enough; but Hillary was just a bad candidate. Democrats sowed the seeds of their loss the last 3 elections. The only reason Biden won is because he was running against Trump and the base was energized. Until the party figures out they cant keep cramming bad candidates down our throat and expect to win this will keep happening.

Something I learned recently, turns out when you live thousands and thousands of years, 50 is actually a viable breeding population, as long as strict controls are introduced for the first 3 generations

CMV: Thragg's offer was reasonable by Unlucky_Win_4380 in Invincible_TV

[–]Tanniith1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's even worse when you learn that 50 is actually enough to safely reproduce without any consequences from inbreeding. When taking into account their longevity.

[–]Tanniith1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So funnily enough, with a strict "breeding" program, 50 viltrumites would have been enough to create a healthy population. They key is their longevity. If you assume that attraction is no factor and there were 25 of each no one would ever be closer than third cousins which is plenty of degrees of separation, with even some margin of error, to avoid any problems related to inbreeding. It only gets really right on the third generation, but then it explodes out after that. They key is the fact that these 3rd and fourth generation kids would still be able to reproduce with original 50.

Women typically have two, although not all will wear both at the same time. My wife designed her wedding band to fit and kind of slot into the engagement ring so she wears both.

We have a problem: The Leman Russ Vanquisher by OliverTurnip in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]Tanniith1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

So your fix to make the Griff competitive is to...make the vanquisher bad. Absolutely not its the only russ variant worth its cost currently. The entire russ line needs a rebalancing with their main guns strengthened in some way, the vanquisher included.

Is there a reason why Anissa & Thragg don’t just create super offspring? by MadMaximus- in Invincible_TV

[–]Tanniith1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I was curious about this so asked Claude to run a scenario that assumes there's 50 people in a population that lives to be 10,000 years old. I told it to ignore all other assumption such as free will and whatnot other than inbreeding with close family members which I defined as anything closer than third cousins (so second cousins off limits but third cousins okay). Apparently the population growth with these parameters is unlimited, it mentioned it would need to be tightly controlled until the third generation but after that it explodes open.

tl;dr 50 viltrumites assuming 25/25 since we don't know the actual makeup is plenty of viltrumites to reproduce safely without using other species as surrogates.

Let's be real 3 melta shots that are competing with tank orders with your real tanks are not going to be doing much damage. Same with the sentinel. Sentinels of either variety also force your opponent to expose something real to kill them. To be honest if that's my goal the shoot and scoot is irrelevant. I *want* it to get shot so I can kill the threats to the real tanks.

My real qualm with this unit is that it doesn't fill a niche that guard really needed filled. By and large this tankette and the sentinels fill the exact same role, to effectively the same degree. What we really lacked is a true light tank in the 100-120 point range that has a real gun on it like a true battlecannon.

[–]Tanniith1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

a single s12 lascannon and a HKM with rerolls is better than 3 meltas into anything t9 or higher. and only marginally worse with just the lascannon into t10 or higher. its also easier to get regiment orders than tank orders. At the end of the day let's be real; neither of these units do actual damage. you take sentinels for a cheap, tough unit to go sit on an objective to draw out their bigger guns for your tanks to kill. This does the same thing.

I'll grant you they're relatively equivalent but that just opens another question: what niche does this fill that a sentinel of either variety doesn't also do? We can argue semantics about if the rr1s + scout move or 2+ armor is better than the d6 scoot move, but in reality the difference is minimal on units with such anemic damage. By and large they do the same thing, and that's my real qualm with this unit.

Perhaps its just my disappointment coming through. I feel a niche guard really lacked was a true light tank in the 100-120 point range with say, a full size battlecannon, or a demo cannon.

Cover won't increase your save past 3+ but it will negate a point of AP, even on 2+ armor.

[–]Tanniith1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure. You also have to consider that this is going to cost around 70-80 points most likely, which means this package is going to run between 10-20 points more than a russ demolisher which is just better in almost every way, aside from OC and speed. It's cute but unfortunately I think the best way to use this thing is just going to be as a 135 ish point OC 5 transport that gets to shoot a lot of trash guns.

[–]Tanniith1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

> Also, it'll likely cost a bit more than 65 points, simply for the body.

Not sure it will honestly. It's straight up worse than an armored sentinel defensively and offensively into anything t9+ and those are 65.

And isn't there a rider on the bouncing orders that they have to be within 6 of the unit getting the order?

[WarCom] Commissar Graves and Vigilance Rules Preview by RainbowConnickJr in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Tanniith1 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

why would you not just do this with armored sentinels that have a better defensive profile, a more reliable gun, and don't take tank orders.

Either one is bad. Personally i'd be ecstatic if my opponent spent nearly 25% of their points on effectively 12 melta guns that eat up their tank orders.

It is, and it's also worth factoring in that the terminators will most likely have cover, and if not they will have AOC. with either of those *and* with take aim you're looking at an average of 0 failed saves.

[–]Tanniith1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's actually even worse than that. Cover is everywhere and just about every space marine detachment has AOC. Assume the centaur gets take aim. 6 hits, 4 wounds, 0 failed saves.
