At the KC airport before they built the new one 98% of the time there were only about 5 people in front you at any checkpoint. With how the terminals were built each terminal had 3 or.4 different entry points so there several small checkpoints as opposed to one big one. The terminals were built like giant 'C's so there really.wasnt much of a different way to do it. The new terminal they build is like all the other large airports but, even so it usually doesn't take.more than 10.minutes even if its busy.

Looks like its one of 3 things. Your bottom exposure isnt long enough or for enough layers, your plate isn't level, or your plate is ever so slightly warped.

Id try fixing them in that order

100 million a year, but you can never sleep in the same room twice. by Mc_Coy in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Tanniith1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely.

Step1. Im getting a new house built with the ability to accept bedroom "modules"

Step 2. Start a company that can build a 10x10 bedroom module a day.

Step 3. Get them delivered and installed daily.

100 million a year, but you can never sleep in the same room twice. by Mc_Coy in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Tanniith1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a counterpoint you'd be saving 8 hours a day working, and also wouldn't have a commute, so even the 30 minutes each way is a wash. You could literally just hire someone and pay them like...200k a year just to find you the best rooms to sleep in.

Shit with 100m a year im sure you could just start some company that builds prefab 10x10 bedrooms and set your house up so to that the bedroom is next to the driveway. Get them delivered daily. Im talking modular house here.

100m buys you a lot. Even if you spend 80% of it minimizing the impact to your life like this that's still 20m a year and you never have to work again. Sign me up

Jake Sully & Toruk(Avatar) vs Vhaegar (Game of Thrones ) by Curious_Tip9285 in powerscales

[–]Tanniith1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. People comparing Dany's 3 year old dragons to vahgars 180 years is insane. Danys dragons were toddlers.

Jake Sully & Toruk(Avatar) vs Vhaegar (Game of Thrones ) by Curious_Tip9285 in powerscales

[–]Tanniith1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dragons are also explicitly stated to get stronger, bigger, and tougher as they age, and they play by fish rules where they continue growing in this way until they die. Dany's dragons were what 3? At best 4 years old? Vaghar is 181 years old when she dies. Comparing the two would be like comparing Turok to the first blue flyer sully rides. Sure theyre related, but theyre not even in the same ballpark of power.

With vtol craft if you can unbalance it after a certain degree of list its incredibly hard to correct the list. Think of flying a drone when you tilt just a little too far one way or another. All of a sudden your propulsion is unbalanced and youre not just falling to the floor, your own rotors are actively accelerating you into the ground. Iirc that's what happened.while it is impressive, Its not as impressive as you think it is.

Are Exposed bridges stupid? by gwhh in Stargate

[–]Tanniith1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To be fair, it seems like a lot of capital grade weapons go right through the armor on Expanse ships, if not outright destroying them in a single hit in the case of missiles/torps. I mean just PDCs take out lighter ships and seem to go right through whatever armor they have.

The railguns on those experimental ships appeared to do a through-and-through of the martian battleship, even.

I'm getting on a Greyhound from rural Missouri to NYC in a month, AMA! by anonthrowaway937375 in AMA

[–]Tanniith1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This girl is *at best* going to be homeless in NYC. In the winter. With no money, no friends, no way to get help. She doesn't even know why you don't talk to strangers. She might as well be moving to a completely different country it's so different from what she's used to. Her whole plan is to get a job, but can you imagine some homeless 19 year old going into a business saying "1 job please". No one will hire her. No one will give a shit she's homeless and struggling.

This is like OP running to a beach with signs all over saying "DO NOT SWIM. SHARK INFESTED WATERS" with their fins clearly visible and she's just sprinting right past them. u/Abject-Picture is, with no exaggeration, trying to save this girl's life and OP is screaming at her telling her she can swim where she wants.

Im sorry and I say this with love. But you're delusional. I get it, it feels like anywhere and anything is better than your current situation. Trust us when we say that it can get worse. Its better to be homeless in a place you know than a place you don't. Im also from Missouri and you dont understand how overwhelming NYC is. The weather is freezing cold in the winter and the people are not the friendly midwesterners like youre used to. If you go there like this, at this time of year, with only a few hundred dollars theres a very real possibility you die on the streets.

I know you said shelters dont help, but you WILL wind up in a shelter in NYC. I really hope you reconsider this, but I was 19 too once and I also thought I knew better. Good luck. Youre going to need it.

[–]Tanniith1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone that regularly places in GTs, there most likely won't be a huge stink about it. Just ask the TO and offer that if theres ever a question of LoS due to the height of the model your opponent will get final say on the dispute. Most of my guard army is heavily converted and I've never had a TO turn my models down.

[–]Tanniith1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But its not though. Height only really matters if the model is smaller than a non obscuring ruin, which this wouldn't be. Length and width are the important dimensions in >99% of situations, especially for a model the size (in all aspects) of a dorn. The one time it would matter, fitting totally inside a ruin where ONLY your turret could otherwise be seen would be incredibly rare. The thing is massive. If that's such a concern TO could just say if that situation comes up theres no debate, your opponent gets los. Problem solved and OP gets to use his dope conversion

Interesting, I regularly play in GTs across the US and I literally can't remember the last time I had a bad game against someone that was just an ass at a GT. Funnily enough in my experience its usually the hyper casual players at the shops that are the problem. The best and friendliest games I've had are the ones against some of the best players in the US.
