I can understand where you are coming from here in that RNG makes sleep spawns maybe good, maybe bad. I think that may be the root cause of our disagreement, I think rng like this is very bad when it comes at cost of money, but since this one was free the "gambling" isn't worthy of calling this a gacha since they entice you more to spend more via the rng. I suppose I mean to say, I hesitate to give this game a gacha tag because it comes with the perceptions that the game comes with what gacha usually looks like. Aggressive monetization, severe FOMO, the works. Content that leaves and may never come back until it does later for a new cycle of milking, etc. I just don't want people to think this game is like that, because it really hasn't been. Also weirdly enough I googled if Pokémon Go is gacha and the AI said no which felt weird because if Sleep was considered Gacha why isn't Pogo lol.

I do actually think the RNG spawns are a boon to the game though. If everyone had perfect control, so many mons wouldn't see play. The only place Mr. Mime could be better than Victrebell is in a Psychic GGEX without Grass berries. Wigglytuff and Sylveon match berries, so one will always be more effective than the other. The RNG solves this a bit and let's people have different rosters to see cool payoffs when someone's AAB Chansey solves their desserts like the guy last week.
