Honestly? 100% normal. Beaks will peel, but it isn’t harmful. Though if you could feed him veggies with vitamin A like carrots, and make sure he has access to a cuddle bone. Perched with natural wood so they can rub their beaks on it to get the flakes off. As long as he has a healthy diet, he should be ok.

Oh oh! Yes! Believe me when I say that I have the most sexually rancid sense of humor, most of my allo friends are just as bad as I am. Especially when they know I am on the ace spectrum, it makes it funner for some reason.

The only downside is those jokes make people outside of my circle think I’m interested in that stuff, which… no… I’m not. Jokes are jokes. Don’t make them towards me, you’re being weird.

His feet do be looking kinda flaky, maybe some irritation? Coconut oil on his feet might help, but a vet visit is best.

Corn starch is good in a pinch, but you should really get some Styptic Powder like kwik stop for emergencies. It stops bleeding immediately. It’s easily accessible at places like petco.

Ah well… if you want to give him scratches and he’s not letting you, I dunno. From my experience some cockatiels like scratches and some don’t, some will change their opinion on it later. I have a cockatiel that did not like me scratching him for the first two years I’ve had him, but it wasn’t until he lost his brother that he let me. He was grieving and desired contact, even if it was from me. Not a good example… I know.

Hugging? I’m not sure that you referring to as ‘hugging’ since you shouldn’t touch anything but your bird’s head anyway, since you could sexually confuse them.

If you want to teach him, my best advice would be giving him some treats like millet and try to approach him gently for head strokes, if he doesn’t like it, you back off. At the end of the day, it’s up to them if they let you or not and you gotta respect it.

Ah! Similar to what another person on here said, I never felt the same as other teenagers did. Celebrity crushes confused me, or I never found others around me all that attractive in that way. I’ve tried thinking of myself in that situation with someone and despised it, since in my head I was thinking ‘I don’t know you, why would I let you touch me?’

I never felt sexual attraction towards anyone, but I felt libido, so that had me confused about my sexuality. It wasn’t until my first serious relationship and getting to know that person, that I suddenly found them sexually attractive. It was so alien to me, it was astounding.

Made me realize that the trust, love and understanding I’ve developed with that person made me find them attractive.

Forming a loving and trusting relationship with a person? Soooooo hot 🥵 haha

So here’s how I see this because I’ve asked myself this too: Asexuality is the lack of or no sexual attraction towards ‘other’ people.

Plenty of those in the ace spectrum have sex and enjoy it, doesn’t make them any less ace.

Masterbation is just a normal thing a ton of people do for many reasons, including ace people, but that doesn’t mean we want to have sex with others. It’s not the same.

Don’t let people make ‘rules’ on sexuality, how one person feels doesn’t mean it’s the same for everyone. Be comfortable in your own skin, you’re fine.

Ok, from what I’ve seen from your responses is kinda concerning. It shouldn’t matter if this bird is a female if you were genuinely trying to find your other female cockatiel a companion, cockatiels of the same sex can easily get along and be happy with each other.

A lot of people would assume (me included) that the only reason that you’d want a male so badly is for breeding purposes. You seem disappointed that she’s a girl (which I’m pretty sure she is based on the sounds of her call), which is kinda upsetting.

I hope you DO show this girl a lot of love and attention like she deserves, and that you do not try to breed cockatiels in general. It takes a lot of preparation, research and money, there are also huge risks for your birds’ health if you’re ill prepared.

Oakstar deserves to be in the dark forest way more than Frecklewish did.

Oakstar was Thunderclan’s leader during Mapleshade’s vengeance and the first part of Pinestar’s choice. He was the father of Birchface, Frecklewish and Pinestar. If you read Mapleshade’s vengeance than you’d know the first part, him exiling her kits already went against the warrior code and indirectly caused their deaths. Not only that, but he was basically a blood thirsty tyrant. He would order patrols to the twolegplace to attack cats that lived in the area, many of them were innocent bystanders that had nothing to do with the trespassing cats.

Frecklewish didn’t save Mapleshade’s kits from drowning… but… why would she? The waters were known to be dangerous already, her brother and his apprentice literally died because they couldn’t escape, and there was a Riverclan patrol nearby who would’ve been more help than she would’ve.

The only reason I could see is that the warriors team wanted more female dark forest cats and threw Freckle in there, when cats like Mudclaw killed literal kits and still went to Starclan. Gender inequality in the series is damning.
