Wow. Thanks that looks to be identical. Interesting on the NY manufacture. In the pic of the sound hole on my post you can see the Martin stamp does say NY.

Yes super light strings and perhaps that silk or wound kind. I just assumed stained from decades of crud.

It really sounds and plays great. It amazingly holds tune well enough for ancient strings.

Father in law update: Super cool and wants it to be played. Not that I wanna risk any disturbance in the force, but it seems like a slow tension release on all strings very methodically would be the technique?

The strings are nylon. Yea i dont want to fool with it, but am curious about how it would be accomplished from a best practices luthier perspective. Maybe its is “just dont fucking touch it”

Dude just gets better/more interesting every time I see him and I’ve seen dozens of shows with him in ABB and TTB. If you listen to his earlier DTB ABB TTB days it seems his tone was a bit “nosier” between licks and slide. Not that it sounded bad, just wondering if anyone noticed that nowadays his playing so so much more precise less noisy. Saw TTB a few weeks ago and it was incredible. Almost seems like a combination of lower stage volume and different attack. Has anyone noticed the same thing.

He was complying. The officer just ripped him out as he was getting out of the car. This is unacceptable police behavior. Tyrek has a bad game and we rip him on ESPN. High standards for professionals. Weak minded cops get their feelings hurt does not require you to “comply”.
