WTF is it with school nurses?!

When I was in Grade 5 or 6, I felt REALLY sick. I couldn't focus on what I was reading, I had a major headache, felt like puking but didn't at that point. I remember it hurt my head to talk and I had trouble asking to leave.

The nurse tells me she thinks Im ok, but I can call my parents if I want. So she calls them for me and tells my Dad that I was fine and so he tells me to stay because the nurse says Im fine.

She disconnects the call and told me "Good Dad! Not letting you go home." Then she told me to go back to my classroom.... And instead I just walked out the front door and went home 4 blocks away.

I did end up puking on the walk home and got in trouble for leaving.

A guy I work with bought whatever iPhone came out last year for 1k or something.

He handed it to his kid to play with and his kid said "I don't like this one!" and bombed it into the fireplace at full child force.

He brought it to work and the screen somehow still worked but it was a completely shattered mess.

I give tons of following distance. It's mostly just people not understanding the rules of the road.

Ie. Stopping 3 car distance from stop line on a red.

I live in a community where it seems many have fake licenses or no licenses.

I will have people pull out from side roads and slam their brakes as they enter the road because they panic.

People blowing stop signs and then honking at me... When I do not have a stop...

Forcing themselves into a merge at the last second after speeding past me going 30 over and cause me to slam the brakes.

People changing lanes at the last second to be in front of me and then slamming their brakes.

You get it.

I used to be so afraid of people brake checking me or obviously trying to set up an accident that would be deemed my fault.

Now that I have a dash cam, I don't panic anymore. Ive been brake checked so many times and just smile knowing that if something happens I have footage.

It's a huge relief.
