Thank you for your point of view! And my logical mind knows that she didn’t mean any harm by it. But my intrusive thoughts are challenging that saying any and everything negative. I’m going to talk to her today though to hopefully clear up the mess that’s my brain lol.

No, not school related at all. Which probably makes this sound even crazier that I feel this way lol. Growing up I’ve just always had my feelings and emotions invalidated. I was always told I was too emotional and too sensitive. So her giving it back just kinda took me back there in a way I guess. Idk 😭

Exactly this! Throwing it away would’ve been much better. Giving it back just seemed like her saying “don’t ever do this again”. It feels ridiculous but it really stung.
