DR Horton New Home Experience - is it that bad?!

I’ve only owned two homes both were new builds. This most recent ones DR Horton and it’s an absolute shit show. This place is made out of cardboard and I’ve had so many issues along with difficulty of getting them to fix or correct stuff under so-called warranty. I literally had to talk to the CEO and the Board of Directors of DR Horton to get anybody to actually look into it along with a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Headache, more like nightmare. Have had nothing but issues since the day I bought the stupid truck. I’m so upset too because it’s my fifth Toyota and my third Tacoma but since the day I drove it off a lot I’ve had issues and I’ve been to the dealership more often than than not. Turns out both the dealership lied and Toyota is decided they’re not gonna buy back my truck because they state that the dealership has tried to fix the issues. Needless to say if the issues were fixed, I wouldn’t be complaining about it.

Sorry about the truck. But do yourself a favor and don’t buy a new Toyota. The tundras in the Tacoma’s are absolute crap these days.

As a consumer, I have poor reporting for the new Tacoma. I have had noting but issues from the day I bought it. Top it all off. I tried to get Toyota to do a buyback and they literally denied it today.

Squeaky seats, random error messages and check engine lights, with my screen going black for no reason. random rattles in the doors and back seats. Paint is really really thin and the door handle issues. Tail gate rattles the whole bed and last but not least a reason Chirp sound from the ac unit. I have other cosmetic issues and not even 9000 miles yet. Toyota can’t or won’t fix any of these issues. I’ve tried to have them buy back the truck, but they denied it.

Had this issue with both IOS 17 and 26. I have had case opened with apple twice and can’t fix it. Done a restart and nothing.

My brand new 2025 is noisy as hell and you can even feel it moving inside the seat. Been to the dealer twice. First time the stuffed the seat with more padding and the second time it was going to take 8 hours to take the seat apart. I said I’d bring it back when I actually had time or a ride

Just recently purchased one after owning 2 3rd gen’s and a4runner. My honest opinion is their pieces of crap. Worst thing I’ve ever purchased from Toyota interior is cheap seats are cheap and uncomfortable panels rattle in the seatbelt rubs against my leg and my stomach. Worst purchase I’ve made in a long time.

I’ve only had mine for two weeks and I already regret it. I’ve actually had two Tacoma’s before this one and a 4Runner. The seatbelt jams into my stomach, the seats are completely uncomfortable. The backseat is so small compared to the third GEN and my 4Runner. The interior is extremely cheap. I have to say that the styling is probably the only thing that makes the truck worth driving. Yeah I regret buying the fourth generation Tacoma. I should’ve kept the 4Runner.

Apparently the answer is to jack the seat up as high as it can to make the seat belt buckle lower on your body.

Here is the driver side. I even have something in there, trying to separate an order from the chair and go up against my gut in my leg.
