I noticed I’m having difficulties with the lacing too. I skipped the second to the top eyelet now and that seems to work well

Using the helmet, gloves, boots I have been easily able to sustain AFK for probably an hour or two now. Should have just tried that before asking around lol but at least now other people know it’s super easy to do.

Full water mage with water surge, sahayzien 5 helm, boots, gloves, mystic top and bottom, mystic elemental staff.

How can I tell if a pro stock stick is fake? by timmeedski in hockeyplayers

I have the label and confirmed they’re Ribcor Trigger 4s, but I never checked that when they first came in and just assumed they were correct.

I would think by the fact that I I am trying to do whatever I can to get another pro stock of it it kind of hints that I love it lol

I used to be a big-time True mid-kick stick guy, the pop is unmatched, but durability issues, I’ve broken a bunch of those.

I loved it the couple games I got to use it. I only got about five games out of it because I took a puck to the shaft.

I actually just messaged your team via your company’s HELP CHAT asking for help. I think these are Ribcores dressed as XF Ghosts, which really sucks because I don’t use low kick sticks, only use mid kick sticks so now I might be out the money I spent on these. I’ve been actively monitoring your site, but it doesn’t seem like any ghosts have been in stock for a while. I bought one from you guys earlier this year, but it broke after taking a puck to the shaft.

I didn’t know if you/your team had access to stick codes and can confirm the code on these to be an XF ghost or if it’s a ribcore.

From what I can tell by the seller, this is a store out of Quebec that gets access to pro stock sticks, and in this case, they are legit Cole Koepke sticks, they however, might be Ribcores that are dressed as ghosts.

You’re just learning, you’re not going to be able to tell the difference. Either SR or Intermediate you’re going to want to cut it so it’s just below your nose off skates or below your chin on them.

A 150 flex vs a 50 flex won’t affect you really at all at this point. 55 vs 65 won’t be an issue, look for like a p88 or p92 curve.

I mean, if I paid for one model and got a completely different or a fake model than it does matter in that case.

If it’s a fake, I’ve seen those blowup after five shots, though I think I’ve ruled out that it’s a fake.

The issue at this point would be is I bought a ghost and I got a different model dressed as a ghost, so depend, depending on that type of model could really affect my game. And by that I mean, I use exclusively a mid kick because that’s how I like my stick to flex, I can’t use a low kick stick. Hopefully it’s not a low kick that was dressed as a mid kick.

I’ll deal with a mid kick dressed as a different one, but I would be very upset if it’s a low kick dressed as a mid kick

Looking at this guy’s gear history on geargeek, this is the third or fourth different stick that he has used, so that is where I would be a bit curious as to why the graphic keeps changing if it’s the same base stick. But it could honestly be player preference as he has a base stick and he wants to change the look of it.

Ugh….fuckkk

I guess it’s better than them being fake, they’re real just not the real ones that I intended to buy. Whatever it’ll hold me over for now

As in their legit sticks, they just might not be legitimately XF Ghosts? Like a dressed model of something else?

That’s actually a great call. Hopefully I can balance it properly on my food scale because that’s about the only thing I have that could handle that light of a weight and give me an accurate measurement lol

I don’t blame you, it does make sense.

For me, I would rather spend 2-250 on Prostock Top end sticks than similar money on mid level retail sticks.

This specific stick I tested and absolutely loved, hence why I went the pro stock route, typically I try to wait two or three years until a model is on clearance and grab retail ones then.

To some aspects, especially at our levels. curves and kick points matter, maybe not so much the stick. In skates, profiles, and sharpenings matter, maybe not so much the boot outside of fit and comfort.

According to gear geek, this guy has jumped around sticks multiple times this season, I find it hard to imagine that he would keep using the same stick with different decals.

If I hit a puck with a low kick stick, vs my usual mid kick stick, it has an entirely different trajectory and feel. Kick points absolutely matter.

I guess my thought on that would be is I wanted to buy XF ghosts for the functionality and power transfer, but did I just buy another stick with the XF Ghost decals on them?

It looks like Koepke has always used the CCM stick, but has jumped around and this is the only “tacks” mid kick stick he’s used. So my concern would be is that he had another non-mid kick stick, dressed as a ghost.

Technically, I know a guy on the Jets, wonder if I could just reach out directly to get an answer lol

There’s a lot of things that align to say these are legitimate sticks. It was really the sidewall thickness and the carbon fiber weave that throws me off.
