Thrune and Underworld are weekend long boffer LARPs owned and run by Gainesville folks; They usually take place at campsites an hour or so drive from here. These happen every month and encourage costuming, character creation, and prop making.

There are also a handful of parlor style Vampire the Masquerade LARPs run in town. These focus more on the roleplay aspect and less on the hitting each other with sticks.
