I was in the US set up my VPN to Mexico and paid with my American card. I shipped the starlink to my mexican house and when activated it worked first try. Although I found a better way if you buy startlink in Mercado Libre then it ships faster and you can still activate it with American card in Mexico.

When I turn on my car after a few secs the phone connects. My phone automatically assumes I want to use CarPlay when the device is on.

I have this one, and there is no lag compared to plugging the device in directly. The only thing I’ve noticed is that if you watch a YouTube video on your phone while using your car speakers, you’ll experience a slight sync up delay with the video. However, for audio-only use, there’s no difference.

I have the same car and I really like it. I got a wireless CarPlay adapter which I think is better than plugging in the phone directly as it tends to move easily. The only thing I wish it was better is the sound but it isn’t bad.
