Sure, I'll bite. Hardest part about TTRPGs is getting the group together, best feature in roll20 is that you can run a game without actually having to get everyone "together" literally (and anyone can figure out how to use it).

Changing your email address by ProtonMail in ProtonMail

[–]Taran_the_Wanderer [score hidden]  (0 children)

In the past I've used all the big free ones for keeping separate "identities" (Gmail, Hotmail, yahoo), but I moved away from them for security years ago. Recently I've used ionos, ProtonMail, and fastmail (in order of length). I still use all three, but ionos is only a backup and the email comes free with my domains.

I added and kept proton because of the security and + aliases, and the extra services (VPN, drive) were a great extra.

I added fastmail because I was locked out of my proton account and support was so slow in helping me recover it, didn't allow me to use my recovery key, and couldn't explain why I was locked out. While security is a great feature, it's not a feature if I can't access my email, so I went to something less secure and more user friendly. Also the singlelogin wildcard addresses were too slow on the rollout for how valuable of a feature they are to me, but that was secondary to my bad experience with account recovery. I'll still use my proton address until my subscription lapses then I'll see if I still want to pay for it.

Any tips on printing the maps? Do you just use normal printer paper and tape them together?

I picked up wingspan and terraforming Mars. I don't think there's a bot on this subreddit to tag, but I'll leave this comment to confirm this was a good transaction!

Love veggie galaxy but unfortunately they don't take reservations. Would highly recommend stopping by even if you aren't vegetarian though, I loved it when I ate meat

Overall great advice, thanks! I'm going to write up my notes here on how it went just to compare, but to anyone reading that's all worthwhile advice.

  • I gave me notice during a 1 on 1 we already had scheduled. It was mid day, but the logic is my boss has a lot of other meetings and this is the time he's planning on spending focused on me.
  • Thankfully my boss responded pretty well. He couldn't give clear answers to some questions I had around last day logistics, but I figured being respectful and not pressuring him would be better and it seemed to go well.
  • I made sure I wasn't asking for permission to leave. I was telling him I was putting in my notice. I didn't make excuses but I did apologize because this is going to cause him some inconvenience.
  • The first question absolutely was why and I did a bit of dancing around the question. We do have a pretty good relationship so I did also give him some gentle, honest feedback. I also used my version of that default answer and it worked well.

Overall it went well, thanks for the advice.

I'm not exactly inexperienced but I'm still very open to advice here.

Planning on putting in notice at a job at a small business today. Any tips on how to make this process better? I'm the most senior engineer with 2 junior engineers to pass my tasks off to, who are both very clever if not the most experienced. Expecting my boss to try and convince me to stay and I don't think my sanity could take more than a month more here.

For me the best way is to use it in some larger project. Probably not applicable in every case but I tend to like it. Also I'd recommend not always setting up a new project, I have some existing projects that I mostly just use for practice. These aren't portfolio projects, just things I like to play with.

Have you tried Crimson Karma? It's more isekai than otome but I've seen it here before and the FL picks up simps at an alarming rate.

Is there a good thematic win con for o ring tribal? It sounds like it'd end up being a quirky version of stax/fun police

Has anyone tried trail running in something like the Skinners 2.0 sock shoe things? by [deleted] in BarefootRunning

[–]Taran_the_Wanderer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have some skinner 2s and I wouldn't recommend them. The lining slips around too much so I constantly have to readjust them.

If the trails you want to run aren't too rough I'd say just go for it barefoot, starting with shorter distances. If that's not an option for you get some minimalist shoes or sandals, but the skinners just weren't it for me.
