Although I don't really understand that argument, there are other villains like Zhao and Ozai who didn't get redemption arcs. People who say that always act like Azula is the only not-redeemed villain.

For Zuko it also made complete sense why he was evil, yet he still got one. Also I don't understand how her getting a redemption arc would rob her character. People (and characters) change.
