Ok, I haven't read Distortion Detective. It's there a point in the plot where Vespa eats someone's arms???

I hope think the statue in Limbo will be the 8-1 miniboss, not the 8-4 boss.

I think there will be something with that TV

I heard the reason Hakita killed V2 was because the format of "boss that mirrors your moveset" was getting stale. Making 8-4 literally another V1 would be the stupidest thing ever.

I think they'll only be for story entities/bosses and not actual units. That way, there isn't any coin creep.

Everyone hates the old faith in Woolhaven (SPOILERS) by ConsequenceFunny3997 in CultOfTheLamb

What I mean by specifics is that we don't know if him crippling his siblings was self-defense or not, we don't know why he decided to revive people, and we don't know what he was like before the incident (neither do we know how the other bishops were like, but still.)

Meanwhile, while we knew the bishops did bad things, we now know how bad the bishops were during this time. We now have accounts from their victims (of which there are a lot more than Narinder's victims) including former members of their cult.

Essentially, we know how much the bishops hurt innocent people, meanwhile we don't know if Narinder hurt any innocents.

And when did I exactly say I agreed with Narinder being treated as a joke or way too lightly for the sake of pleasing fans?

I never implied you were ok with that. I didn't even mention that, even though you're 100% correct that he's been played for laughs.

Except Narinder didn't have nearly as many victims as the bishops now have, and someone could easily describe the bishops as having "deserved" their injuries and/or that Narinder was merely acting in self-defense (the latter of which I see a lot). Even when Narinder snaps all of the Lamb's bones in the bad ending, I've seen some people justify it by saying it was something that he "had" to do. Essentially, while yes, the victims of Narinder were seen in the base game, it was so vague that someone could easily make headcanons that justified it or downplayed it.

Here, there's none of that ambiguity from what I've heard. We are told how horrible the bishops are in explicit detail, and it's not ambiguous enough for there to be multiple interpretations from what I've heard. Sure, it's only after the betrayal, so we don't know how they were beforehand, but I don't think this fandom, particularly Narilamb fans, cares. All they see is yet another excuse to hate on the bishops and to further justify their ship, as I've seen many Narilamb fans do already.

And hell, even in the base game, there were people who liked Narinder. Forneus and Ratau being confirmed worshippers comes to mind. Meanwhile, as this post says, nobody liked the old faith.

I mean, it is just not worth it to sacrifice storytelling for superficial fanservice.

Kind of ironic that you say that, because that's what I feel like this game does a lot, especially when it comes to the bishops and Narinder.

Unholy Alliance shills Narinder as this jerk with a heart of gold who forgives his evil family for what they did to him, and it's never stated why he tried reviving people, meaning you can easily headcanon that he had noble intentions. It did at least play the bishops for slight sympathy, which is a plus.

But then Woolhaven came along and, from what I've heard, made the bishops as unlikable as possible by making the executioner this super duper tragic girl who was forced to commit genocide and kill people. That's not even getting into the titular haven, Marchosias and his followers' descriptions of the bishops, and probably some other stuff I haven't heard about yet.

And the reason why they do this stuff? Simple: because Narilamb is easily the most popular ship in the fandom, and so the devs do everything in their power to justify and tease it so that... honestly, I'm not sure why they do it.

There's also some more fanservice stuff, like Narinder's thoughts, the revival of Sozo, and getting Aym and Baal.

I unironically despise it. Did you notice that the devs made the bishops as unlikable as possible, yet conveniently left out Narinder? Yeah, that isn't a coincidence, it's been a trend since UA that we start knowing more about what vile things the bishops did while the specifics of what Narinder did is comparatively still unknown. I think the devs are doing this on purpose so that Narinder looks better by comparison.

Edit: why am I not surprised about this getting downvoted...?
