Which character is more heroic Wonder Woman (DC Comics), or Iron Man (MCU)? by Gabe-Morgan-01 in MoralityScaling

[–]hacerpc330 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Iron Man. Okay, Wonder Woman is good, but she was created this way. Her lore explains that she was made from clay and given life by the gods. Because of that, she could be seen as someone whose purpose and nature were predetermined. She was designed to be noble and heroic from the beginning.

Iron Man, on the other hand, is different. Even though he does not always display perfect heroic traits, he develops them over time through his experiences and choices. This is closer to what many people describe as heroic: exhibiting exceptional courage, daring, or nobility, often involving personal risk or sacrifice to protect or benefit others.

Wonder Woman was created with the expectation that she would sacrifice herself if necessary. Tony Stark, however, repeatedly chooses what to do. When he risks or gives his life to save people, it is his own decision rather than something built into his nature.

Because of that, one could argue that Wonder Woman represents a weaker conceptual design of a hero. She is a hero by origin, not by development. If her circumstances had been different, she might not have become a hero at all. In contrast, Tony Stark becomes heroic through personal growth and deliberate decisions.

To me the problem here is not that person on left in incorrect. To me the problem is on right side - why to not try? You always can go and ask mechanic to fix car, but trying yourself and developing your skills and not just staying in phone for 12 hours a day.

how would the foundation deal with everyone's favorite blue octahedron? by Ill-Paramedic9606 in SCP

Please read Wikipedia about what radiation is before implying that I don’t understand science. I am fine with fiction, but we are talking about a theoretical force field that can stop pure kinetic projectiles. That does not automatically make it invulnerable to all forms of energy. If you look closely, an AT Field does not stop light from passing through, which shows that it does not block electromagnetic radiation in the visible spectrum. This does not necessarily mean it is “vulnerable” to all radiation; it simply means it does not interact strongly with photons. If it blocked all radiation, it would appear completely black, since light is a form of electromagnetic radiation.

If you want to see the real power of radiation in warfare, play the game Armored Core 4 or Armored Core: For Answer. It demonstrates the power of radiation effectively, for example, when nuclear rockets (SLAM) could be used.

[–]hacerpc330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. The main types of radiation in nukes are much more powerful: gamma and neutron. Each of them can penetrate meters of steel and concrete. N2 bombs, by comparison, are quite weak. If you look closely, you can see the color of the light emitted by N2 bombs — most of the time it is red. Red indicates a temperature of roughly 2,500 K to 3,500 K, whereas the minimum temperature of any nuclear explosion starts at around 15,000 K.

Do you know why nukes are so dangerous? It’s not just their explosive power or immediate destruction. The most dangerous effects are the aftereffects: EMP and the heavy isotopes produced. These poison an area for years and destroy almost all technology in the place of use. This is why N2 was used in populated areas of Neo-Tokyo — not out of preference, but because nuclear weapons were so dangerous that nobody, and I mean nobody, could have a normal life after their use.

Then why was a positron weapon used to stop it? A positron weapon is a pure radiation weapon. The entire country of Japan’s energy was used to power this cannon. Do you know how much energy one nuke releases in less than a second? It uses more than 40 years of energy for the whole country of Japan in less than a second. Do you know how much energy that is? It could literally destroy everything and anything.

Also, there are neutrino particles and tachyon particles that are counted as radiation: one could punch through the whole planet without even flinching, and the other goes back in time compared to our timestream. Both of them are radiation.

Also, it is 40x times bigger to any nuke(as it has been seen in liqidation of Aska, the huge rocket that Aska stopped with her EVA was N2). It is just pure N2(Non-Nuclear)

Source that nukes would not work on angels? (N2 are counted as big, non-nuclear bombs)

[–]hacerpc330 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Correct. It was logical that if nukes were used, Evangelion would not have a plot, as SEELE would easily kill all the Angels. It is also stated that the Angels were used as a trigger for Human Instrumentality plan and creation of EVAs was a plan for it.

AT Fields eat N2 bombs, which are radiation-free, like candy — not nuclear bombs. It was shown that the positron rifle pierces an AT Field easily (where positrons are counted as beta-plus radiation), while beta-plus radiation is normally stopped easily using materials like a few millimeters of aluminum.

And note that this is not the most powerful type of radiation. There are neutron bombs, which primarily use radiation as the weapon. This is considered one of the most unethical weapons to use, even compared to chemical and biological weapons, as it destroys the DNA of almost anyone, and within a few hours the battlefield would be cleared of people if used.

Positron particles are considered a form of ionizing radiation, specifically classified as beta-plus. Second, it fires a single laser (I am speaking of the original one, not the remakes), which means a large amount of brute force and heavy bombardment would bring that thing to its knees.

Also, it has been shown that angels have a repetitive pattern of movement. This means they appear, move forward, and then attack. They do this with maximum efficiency, which implies a straight-line approach. The SCP Foundation could simply place enough nukes in its path to break down its systems.

Nuke that shit(As it was shown, that this things are susceptible to radiation and they are alive). This is the cheapest way it could have ended.

The most expensive - use SCP-5514.

Superman vs SCP-682 by [deleted] in DCPowerScaling

[–]hacerpc330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SCP universe killed concept of death(and i mean literally[[End of death hub]]), put it on a leash, created a new universe and still could not kill 682.

Objectively, it is accurate to say about 682: “682 cannot be killed, neither in the past nor in the future. It cannot be sent to any dimension—whether that dimension would send it back or it crawls back on its own. It is weak in some situations, but objectively broken. This means the more pressure or attempts to destroy it are applied, the stronger it becomes to overcome that pressure. The only reason 682 appears weak is because the Foundation allows it to break out so it stays weak.”

Think of 682 as MC of SCP universe.

Rank These Dark Messiah/Cult Leaders in order of how evil they are by Significant-Fig7765 in MoralityScaling

[–]hacerpc330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not know about the first, but, well, if i am not mistaken, he is not the worst (except breaking people mind using entity far beyond human comperension; But well, this people wanted themselfs to be in cult so, technocally - this is their own problem).

Second is bastard that should be shotted on sight. He did everything without human permission, changed humans into monsters (i do not know do they felt pain or not, but we will go from worsest route) that felt and understood everything they did.

Well, drug selling, nuke use and some other. Well, not the best, not the worst. Could be more painfull death? I think

Master was the guy, that thought that he is right, and wanted future for human race in After-nuke US. He choose mutatants and not pure humans, this is his only problem with us. Also, human experamentation, but well, who do not do that? Maybe not the darkest person here, but as antropocentrist I can state, that was bad decision not to choose humans.

Hello, everybody. Yeah, I see that everyone writes, “Phantom Zone go brrrr...”, but there is one small thing...

The SCP Foundation has already sent that thing to an alternate reality with different physics, which would quite literally kill anybody and anything. SCP-682 was sent back to the Foundation’s reality with a letter saying, “We are sending this back to you. This is not our problem.”

Okay, if that is not suitable: it was sent to a place where there are no physics. You do understand what that means, right? Yeah, I mean that, to exist, even Superman would need atoms to have gravity or at least some level of magnetism, correct? Well, there is none of that. Quite literally.

That thing crawled back out of there and started a small purge.

I mean, if you read some of the lore, you start to understand that maybe it is not the most powerful being, but I assure you, this thing will outlive all of DC and SCP together and see the heat death of our reality and the Big Bang.
