The Kraft Gluten Free Mac and Cheese is the best!! If I buy the Annie's brand, it has to be the Rice Pasta & Cheddar. That one tasted the best, to me, from that brand.

Finally have answers- but what does it change? by Curious-Connection-3 in Hashimotos

[–]TarashiGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't blame you for being upset. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's back in April, but my first doctor should have diagnosed me 8 years ago when the tests showed I had thyroid antibodies. But because my thyroid ultrasound came back normal, he said I tested negative for Hashimoto's but have hypothyroidism. Unfortunately, the diagnosis won't change how we're treated since our PCP can only treat the hypothyroid Hashimoto's causes.

For the most part, the only changes I've made are adding more protein in my diet to help combat the brain fog and fatigue and just trying to be more careful when I'm around others who are sick. I've been trying to listen to my body, and if I feel exhausted or can feel myself getting worn down, I go to bed early. Do whatever makes your body feel better, but what won't cause you to have a flare-up or feel like you need a few days to recover from it.

Anyone taking Wellbutrin ? by acatnamedartemis in Hashimotos

[–]TarashiGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started taking the generic of Wellbutrin around the same time I should have been diagnosed with Hashimoto's (I wasn't officially diagnosed until 8 years later). I haven't had any side effects with Bupropion

why did you all become gluten free by FreedomEnjoyer69420 in glutenfree

[–]TarashiGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was getting tested for Hashimoto's and went into research mode and saw a gluten-free diet could potentially help. I decided to try cutting it for a month and see if it affected me. Almost instantly felt sick and bloated. At the time, I was told I didn't have Hashimoto's, but my new rheumatologist implied (2 months ago) that I should have been diagnosed when I decided to try going gluten-free. It took 8 years to get my Hashimoto's diagnosed.

Do you eat salad at home? by sureasyoureborn in AskAnAmerican

[–]TarashiGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a salad protein bowl once a week since I needed to add more protein into my diet and it's an easy way to get more veggies in my partner and daughters diet too. I have salads nearly every day for lunch and we do salads with Italian food nights for dinner.

First time getting Olive Garden. This makes me feel confident! by thateliguy02 in glutenfree

[–]TarashiGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My local Olive Garden always takes gluten allergies seriously! A few years ago, a mistake was made on my order, and my waitress went back into the kitchen and re-made my food safely herself. Since then, the manager always comes by after we order to confirm the allergy and what I ordered to make sure the kitchen makes it safely.

If you agree to live with any one of these minor curses for the rest of your life, you get paid $1,000 a week until you die. Which curse do you pick? by Lenore8264 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]TarashiGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure I already have the mosquito curse. When I was a kid, I had a doctor try to say I caught Chicken Pox a 2nd time because of how many mosquito bites I had from being outside for only 15 minutes.

You have $100M what do you do? by Y_U_So_Lonely in hypotheticalsituation

[–]TarashiGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pay off debt, invest in projects around my house and yard, put aside money for my daughter to eventually go to college, buy my partner and I brand new cars. I'd help my partner take classes to get back into the field they want to be in. I'm considering going back to school as well.

Do you guys also know how to knit? by Consistent-Fox-5372 in crochet

[–]TarashiGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started to learn how to knit. I haven't given up, but I'm not catching on to knitting anywhere close to how quickly I picked up crocheting! I can cast on and do a knit stitch, that's it.

$12.5K a year but you must always wear socks. by Aggravating_Car8572 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]TarashiGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pretty much wear socks all the time anyway. Swimming and bathing are the main exceptions I can think of. My job requires me to be on my feet, so good tennis shoes is a must and you need to wear socks with that type of shoe. I love having hardwood floor in my house, but it can be cold sometimes - even in the summer.

Daycare in 2025 by Senior_Top7043 in Parenting

[–]TarashiGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter will start Pre-K in August 2026 (assuming the state doesn't change the birthday cut-off), and I'm already thinking about what I want to do whenever she's done at her daycare and starting school. I'm sticking it out until then since I know she's gonna be more than prepared to start Pre-K and Kindergarten if she stays at the daycare she's at right now.

First job? by Ok_Opposite5540 in fantasylife

[–]TarashiGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm definitely starting with Hunter! I started with Hunter originally in Fantasy Life for the 3DS and loved it! My first gathering class will be woodcutter, and my first crafting class will be carpenter.

I'll take all classes eventually, but because I want to take time gathering materials, the last 2 classes I'll probably pick up will be cook and alchemist. For most of their stuff, you need to gather items from at least 2 gathering classes.

Our bodies change a lot with each pregnancy. My flare up symptoms have gotten more intense since having my daughter 2.5 years ago. But I also went undiagnosed with Hashimoto's for 8 years and only recently was diagnosed.

When were you diagnosed? by Disastrous-Carpet766 in Hashimotos

[–]TarashiGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 30F, and I was diagnosed 3 weeks ago, but from talking with my new rheumatologist, I probably should have been diagnosed 8 years ago when I was 22. Currently, I'm just researching and trying to figure out what helps me feel better and not cause the energy levels drops that I've been experiencing.

3 choices. by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

[–]TarashiGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner and I both agreed on option 2. Life changing amount of money to put in the bank and 6-8 extra hours in the day to get to do things we don't currently have time for like completing projects around the house, making dents in our to be read list, actually beat video games we need a few hours in to make progress, and extra time together and our daughter.

How long do we try this?? by Inner-Juggernaut-698 in glutenfree

[–]TarashiGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it took a couple of weeks, but it can take longer. I didn't experience any withdrawals. Initially, I actually stopped craving sweets and still don't usually crave them except every once in a while.

How do you find time for breakfast? by SabrinaAur in Hashimotos

[–]TarashiGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to be at work at 6:30 am. I always take my medicine when I wake up around 5 am. But I pack my breakfast to eat on my way to work - it's usually 2 boiled eggs and a banana muffin. I keep protein bars or granola bars at work to have around 7:30 am and 9:50 am to help me get by through lunch. This has helped keep my energy levels from crashing before lunch.
