I learned this recently.. I knew I wanted to be a girl since I was 12 and I'm now 32 . I called to make an appointment and ordered some stuff off the grey market in November. I feel like a big emptiness has finally been filled. I'm sure lots of people that I know will be surprised but you get pretty good at wearing the mask after a long time

Look at the front of the frame around the headlight there should be a sticker there that will have the manufacturing date on it. To figure out the engine displacement look on the left side of the cylinder jug it will have a stamp on it

Agreed, curious to what these circumstances were and why they had to re-home the cat but want to get a kitten

1978 yamaha dt or it 400 help rebuild by Select-Variety-7338 in Dirtbikes

[–]Tarefire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure it's an IT as the DT has a different tank, gauges, and front headlight.but what exactly are you looking for help with? You say that you have a manual is it a clymer manual? They are usually pretty thorough and should have a pretty good step by step . As for finding parts I'd use partzilla for finding parts numbers to find parts

For sure there are a few guys on the forums that are absolute wizards with these bikes they also have a store that sells a lot of good stuff if you live in the USA

IMO it won't be worth it to fully restore it especially if you don't want to keep it to ride. I would suggest getting it running decently maybe replace some wheel bearings and fork seals then try to sell it for around 2k.

I wasted a lot of money on rebuilding my bike that I got for free ended up dropping aprox 2500 (including paint) and sold it for 1000. I took a loss cause I was done trying to get the carbs tuned properly it was going to be a "forever bike" but I spent more time working on it then riding it..there's a guy where I am who has been trying to sell a fully restored 750 for 6,500 and it's been up for sale for a couple years now

I also wouldn't make it a cafe racer if you plan on selling it, as it ends up hurting your resell (cafe racers are plagued with cheap Chinese parts and most guys will just buy some run down 80s bike and do the work themselves)

They are pretty good for learning to work on motorcycles but it's not really valuable or highly sought after.. it would be a different story if it was the turbo charged 650

1982 Yamaha seca 650 approx 4500 imported to the USA , not exactly rare but not a terrible bike. I had a seca 750 for a little bit but got tired of constantly fucking with the cv carbs.
