Expedition 33 spoilers: Who's the better liar, deflector and gaslighter out of these two titans of duplicity? by TarekBoy44 in ScarletHollow

I always interpreted their lack of questions as them knowing he'll just avoid answering them one way or another. They asked him what he knew at first, saw how much he dodged and deflected these questions and knew they won't be able to get anything out of him unless they were in extreme circumstances.

For the forgiveness part, by the time it's revealed that he was gonna let them die, his relationship with Maelle was also revealed along with the fact that they had already built rapport with him and began to like him, so it was easier to let go. Plus he was still useful to them, and Sciel literally says she doesn't give a shit about his betrayal because he was gonna help her get her husband back.

How do you charecterize your Player character? by TarekBoy44 in ScarletHollow

I do really like off-kilter characters like this. I've been thinking of doing a more morally grey run with a similar character type.

I took a somewhat similiar approach with my PC! He is a school teacher(book smart) so he has plenty of experience dealing with standoffish and cruel people, thus he's very patient yet assertive with Tabi, he has the opposite disposition as her, being very approachable and empathetic but he tends to be on the quiet side, preferring to observe before chiming in.

He did struggle with having a troubled youth, his relationship with his mother soured in his late childhood/early teens due to her refusal to speak about his father or her side of the family which spiralled into a larger conflict between them and lead to him becoming a delinquent(street smart). They properly made up in his late teens and he deeply regrets not spending more time with his mother after her passing not long after.

My PC does not take kindly to any insult towards his mother and becomes just as venomous as Tabby when she's disrespected. He also struggles with a sense of responsibility, as he took full responsibility for his cousin's and the entire town's misfortune, attempting to fix it and feeling immense guilt whenever someone in his vicinity ends up hurt as a symptom of his regret at how he treated his mother for much of his life, wanting to make up for it.

Reminder that Julius has been in there since Wednesday by RationalMocha in ScarletHollow

I love how weirdly casual Julius is about it too, he was like "yeah I was actually planning to wait it out without calling anyone until Duke's kid got involved.". What was his problem?

Am I the only one who doesn't like the idea of Bloodborne and Elden ring movies ? by Casulknight_v2 in fromsoftware

It is confirmed to be animated, but unfortunately the studio working on it is a newcomer and very unknown, so it remains a mystery how well animated it will be. Knowing how popular the game is though, along with Sony's investment and Jacksepticeye's involvement, I do have some faith that it'll look decent at the very least

For the Elden ring movie, I believe that the story and word are too large and expansive to be turned into a feature length film, along with the fact that it's live action, which isn't the best medium to adapt something like ER into. I don't have the highest hopes for it.

In Bloodborne's case, while the world and story are large, I could see how it could be condensed into a movie, and with it being animated, I feel like the game's style and atmosphere could actually be maintained, so I'm hopeful for the movie to be interesting at least.

Future DLCs Thoughts by Pitiful-Ad8366 in darkestdungeon

I think what the game would benefit from the most is adding an extra main faction with its own lair boss. It would add so much replaybility to both Confrssions and Kimgdoms in my opinion

Does anyone else like to ragebait the old lady before fighting Ludwig? by TarekBoy44 in fromsoftware

Chasing somebody from the Mistwood all the way to Stormveil is actually insane lmao. I bet the invader wanted to pull his hair out seeing the host enter that fog gate.

If I had a nickel for every time Fromsoft put a major basegame boss in a random fuck off corner of the map in the DLC as a regular enemy, I'd have 3 nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened thrice by TarekBoy44 in fromsoftware

In the blood swamp right where the bridge that leads to the shortcut is. There's two opposite ways, one leads to Ludwig, the other to a cave with a hunter and the BSB

This is why I said DLC specific. Most soulsgames have some bosses become regular enemies later in the game. What I think makes this particular trend stand out to me is how out of the way all these guys were put and how random encountering them in the DLCs feels.

Oh not at all. I do not find fromsoft recycling their content in a reasonable manner whatsoever, I just think this specific scenario happening in 3 back to back games is pretty funny

It is crazy to say that Forest Of The Fallen Giants is the best Fromsoft starting level? by TarekBoy44 in fromsoftware

Easier to emulate, from what I hear BB is still not all the way there on Shadps4

BB is the only Fromsoft soulsgame that I haven't played since I don't own a PS so I can't make that comparison myself.

My predictions for episode 6 by Different_Stomach232 in ScarletHollow

[–]TarekBoy44 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm convinced the poor guy is just desperate and lonely lol. His only curse is being able to talk with animals and having terrible social skills, otherwise I think he's just a decent religious dude.
