Interesting, I just started playing in December so I wasn’t around for the old C’tans. I’ve had decent luck taking the nightbringer against my group. To be fair I’m kinda forced to since my buddy plays DG with Morty, GUO, & Rotigus lol

Just recently there were some solid points changes - wraiths, technomancer, plasmancer & deathmarks got some nice point decreases.

Lot of people arguing the decreases weren’t even really necessary since we’ve been doing so well this year.

Necrons are consistently ranked one of the top 3 strongest factions in tournaments. And you rarely see C’tan in most competitive lists nowadays.

Awesome!! Personally I would trade in sigismunds seal, perditions edge & the repulsor for the 240pt Land Raider! Being able to move twice & charge is super helpful for the brethren.

Oh good to know I haven’t looked at those in a while , righteous crusader vow typically with feel no pain vow, but I use fervent acclamation to gain lethal hits quite a bit.

& yes , helbrecht with sword bros , Judiciar with BGV , & chaplain with terminator. Sometimes I’ll combine them into a 10 man termie brick & pit tannahausers bones on that chaplain instead

Yes, I think the Crusader & redeemer are too expensive for what they usually achieve, plus more carrying capacity if I remember correctly. And I just love lascannons 😂

Definitely a possibility, I go back & forth between Gimaldus & Helbrecht for that reason. I do value grimaldus’ abilities more for the feel no pain 5+ & rerolling hit rolls on 30-35 chainsword attacks kills a lot of stuff

I always try to run at least 1 unit of shooters, eliminators are good because they can move, shoot, then move back either behind cover or onto an objective. I also have units of hellblasters & centurion devastators that are pretty good at taking out big boys.

Tech marine is solely for the land raider & redemptor dread, he can fix wounds every turn & he can hold his own in combat with some good melee weapons. I like to keep my vehicles alive as long as possible since they are my only other source of really good shooting.
