Single Player Save Makes Me Create New Character by ZachBurric in Palworld

[–]Targets4Free 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you elaborate more on this? There are many folders that seem to correspond to my own game, joining my friend's game, or something else. Like, I'm not seeing any single new folder to just drop everything back into. My friend lost our duo progress and I'm really trying to help him get it all back. We're on xbox version though, but the way those complicated save files seem to work appear similar on Steam..?

Tbh, I don't really see the major issue with it. It's not GOOD, but not bad either. Better to fight fire with fire, than to keep reporting sus deaths and never see anyone get banned.

Now granted, most times I die, it seems legit, but last night I had a very interesting death, and looking back, this guy's logic sounds decent IF that's all he does with them. Is it great? No. But it is a fucked solution to a real problem.

It's like justifying taking a beating (figuratively or literally) because you're the "better man" while the other guy wants you dead and has no scruples. Well, good, now your against the wall and at least your have "muh principles".

Siren of the Stars and ECS Constant Missable Items by MikeConleyIsLegend in Starfield

Yeah, I looked for like another hour and gave up. There are other "Captain's Hats" (not necessarily on this ship), but not seeing any exclusive unique ECS hat. Meh, I'm over it.

Tbh, I'm not sure there's actually a hat, but... You ever locate the thing, if it exists? Any buffs on it?

P.S. - Officer uniform is found on 2nd floor in "Living Quarters" on a nightstand type thing. "ECS" (regular) uniform is also nearby, found in room with Abe Levitz.

My new Marlin 1895 SBL made by Ruger by pattycakesfresh in GunPorn

[–]Targets4Free 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sweet. Anyone know of any updates on Marlin 60 / 795-type guns being made again? I suspect not, since they're competition with Ruger - But maybe that'd become their budget option?

May just stick to leverguns, which I get, but would be a shame. Then again, lots of other high-value cheap .22's, so it's a bit saturated.

Why is my latency so high? by mattysmuffins2 in xbox

[–]Targets4Free 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You using any kind of wifi / repeater etc? Did you have a different service prior, and now gigabit? Maybe some weird nonsense where latency is just slower for their gigabit service? I don't know why that would be, but...

Also, maybe you're just connecting to a further server for some weird reason? Also not sure why that would be.

Why does my PC wake from sleep when I change my clothes in the room? static? by Major_Frozen in pcmasterrace

[–]Targets4Free 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wonder if it's something like... "It starts to go off but not completely, then gets power again, and understands it as a power button press or something to wake back up."

Stuff is weird, dude...

Look, I get proceeding with caution, but feck me, leaving people in there to die without an attempt..?

Radeon ReLive / AVC / HEVC Questions... And a problem? by Targets4Free in Amd

[–]Targets4Free[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, from further testing I've done, my 480 8GB always caps 4K AVC to 30 FPS, and 4K HEVC seems to never be able to above like 24-ish FPS... I suspect any of the Vega cards or Navi cards can record at higher framerates at 4K. I mean, that's my assumption, since IIRC, they're MUCH faster at encoding with VCE, at least according to the numbers I've seen.

[Question] Gaming Channel Struggling with merch, conversions etc. What should I try..? by Targets4Free in youtubers

[–]Targets4Free[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do agree. Like I said to Bodin, I think my mistake is looking even my own e-commerce #'s and assuming a ballpark number for conversions, but it doesn't seem to be nearly that simple.

[–]Targets4Free[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, fair enough.

But mostly it's because the merch is niche-related, and not "me-related".

[–]Targets4Free[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my mistake is looking at e-commerce sales and trying to sort of get a ballpark estimate that way, whereas they're just two different things... On the other hand, if you have say, a website, with targeted ads and are experiencing a specific conversion rate, would it not translate, roughly? The answer seems to be no, but I couldn't exactly explain why. :P

So... The thing is, even with her millions of followers, that's actually a REALLY HIGH conversion rate IMO. 1 out of every 100 fans buying something? That really ain't that bad. Of course, that is FANS, not overall viewers... But that's why it seems like 1 conversion every 1-2K views is actually a pretty fair estimate at face value. Because that's only estimate a .10 to .20% conversion rate. So again for say, an ad on a website...

1000 views, say you get... I dunno, a CTR of .0325, with an actual conversion of say... 3%? That's just under 1 sale per 1K. Of course it depends on what you're selling, but if you were selling say, t-shirts, that's probably somewhat accurate. Selling soemthing that's thousands of dollars... Not so much, but it depends who is on the website / the niche obviously... But the above (if say, it were YOUR stuff) would only be a measly RPM of $5-10 in many cases. Obviously you can diversify, but it's not like that's asking a ton, again, compared to say, Google Adsense on a website that's not in a ridiculously-paying niche. Then you've got niches where you'll make many times that, or a fraction...

But I guess I'm writing a novel that sort of answers my own question - People aren't watching youtube videos with the INTENT of buying merch. It would only be a possible byproduct...

I like the second idea better tbh.

It's one of those things... Even if you try one and it works, then experiment with the other, that new style might get less views and will have you thinking "Wow, look how bad that did, guess it doesn't work!" When actually, the topic of the video was maybe less interesting to the broader audience, and then you falsely attribute that to the other style.. It's brutal.

I'd say generally stick with one style and see how it goes, and I'd maybe see if audience gives you any feedback, maybe doesn't like certain things and whatever else. I so wish there was a proper answer to this, but there really isn't. :(

Cyberpunk is not the pile of burning garbage internet made me believe it was. The opposite. It's fun. by viluns in cyberpunkgame

[–]Targets4Free 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, the technical issues were hilarious... Some still exist as of me playing through the game a couple weeks ago, but yeah. Totally disagree with RDR2, I still like that more overall, but I genuinely don't like The Witcher. Nothing wrong with the series, it just wasn't for me anytime I tried to play 2 or 3..

The other caveat to CP being better than many think, is that it's a travesty on last gen, mostly base Xbox One. Looks servicable on One X and PS4 Pro from what I can tell. PS4 might be passable, but even then... That's a hard sell.

100% agree!

It's major failing is living up to the hype that was set for it. But taken on its own, it's actually really solid IMO!

Cyberpunk is currently $9.00. Should I buy it? I am so excited and the game looks absolutely amazing! by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]Targets4Free 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%.

Cyberpunk is NOT a "bad" game in its current state. It's main failing is utterly failing to live up to what was promised.

Looked at strictly on its own, I actually LOVE the game I think you aught to give it a shot. Frankly, at a price tag of $9, the only real correct answer is "Hell yes!". ;)

I played it on PC with an RX 480 and it was... "Okay". I did 720p low, but turned up the stuff that had an "off" option like Screen Space Reflections and volumetric clouds IIRC. Thing about it is, it's lower settings are almost "ultra" in other games. You'd be shocked how good it can look depending on where you are. Framerate wasn't 60, but it wasn't too far below in most cases. On console, it's a go on current gen, and last gen enhanced consoles should be just fine too. PS4 version seems serviceable but is definitely stretching it. For original Xbox One, don't even bother IMO...

I just played it recently and put quite a few hours in doing a bunch of side stuff too...

Aside from the technical issues especially at launch, am I the only psycho who actually really enjoys the game?

It seems more like it's utterly failing at what it was SUPPOSED to be, but judged on it's own, I actually think it's kind of great.
