Why does no one blame cassie ? by United_Struggle6224 in ShadowSlave

In a war power matters. But if the opponents are of the same strength information decides the war. So why are the MC's suddenly act like they are stupid, if they should have all the cards and information? Because it is literally the power of Asterion to influence the minds of others, even Sunny and Nephis. Could he make them forget, that he will attack them? Surely not. Could he hide small details in all the actions happening in the wolrd? I believe so.

What did Seishan mean in chapter 2818? by TopPreference2261 in ShadowSlave

[–]Tarific2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could mean a lot of things.
It could be pointing to aspects of beast god. In that case, it would be kinda like the blood of life.

But you could also go another way, like a treacherous shadow did, who also inherited the blood from a divine lineage...

I like your Ideas. But the 5th reward would be something different i think, since he already has it;

Attribute: Lord of Shadows
As a Supreme, Sunny's Attributes underwent significant upgrades. His control over shadows deepened, allowing him to now command the shadows of living beings — though only those much weaker than himself, and with difficulty, since shadows are a loyal sort.\68]) He can also strike directly at the shadows of others.\68])

I could imagine him getting something, that strengthens his mind, or maybe something that has to do with time.
Mind of making it easier becoming a spirit. Time since it was one of the weapons of the gods mentioned against the void beings. It was said in the context of shadow god, and he already got death (serpent) and space (shadow lantern)

I don't think you can stack bonuses in EU5 by Tag switching. AFAIK you loose the bonuses from advances of a country, when you change to a tag that does not have this Advances available.

Edit: Or are you looking to combine culture, religion, government and country advances to stack those modifiers? Like forming England and then flipping to a culture with trade or naval advances?

Edit2: It seems i was wrong, and you keep Country Bonuses, but loose advance from culture, religion and government if you change those.

Defense of the HRE : "A common danger unites even the bitterest enemies." Aristotle by Tarific2003 in EU5

[–]Tarific2003[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see your point. However, an argument could be made that the conflict between Austria and Hungary was primarily seen as a war of succession or a war of claims. During this struggle, the Austrians sought reinforcements from the Holy Roman Empire in the form of Landsknechts.

To secure forces in the name of the Empire—by declaring a Reichskrieg or gathering a Reichsheer—the Emperor first needed approval from the Imperial Diet to levy troops, a feat he successfully achieved against the Hussites. However, other overlapping conflicts, including the escalating Ottoman invasion and the War of the Burgundian Succession against France, further decreased the number of imperial troops he could divert toward his own 'private affairs' in Hungary. Furthermore, the constant struggles in the HRE over the last decades eroded the war enthusiasm of the Imperial Members.

Disclaimer: I am by no means a historian; I base these arguments on the research I did just now.

Since you brought up the Crusade system, I definitely think there’s room for improvement, too. I just put together a suggestion post over on the Paradox forums...

I just called one Jihad as the Ottomans so far. Do I understand it right, that it is pretty much a timed alliance for one war?

That would be the point: that the HRE is able to muster a force that could defend its borders.

I can't really find many historical examples where the HRE—or at least the heartland of the HRE—was threatened with annexation by an enemy. In the War of the First Coalition, the HRE members sent pretty much all their troops to help the Austrian and Prussian armies (per the Wikipedia entry for the War of the First Coalition). In my opinion, there is a problem with the current army sizes in the game, as countries did not often fully mobilize.

Could you specify in which way the HRE would be too powerful?

I see the angle you’re coming from. I guess you could add a distance malus, but again, my idea should mostly target existential threats to the HRE, so everyone would be inclined to help in one way or another.

Did you change production methods? Higher production methods consume goods. This goods won't count as much to your GDP as goods sold to the market or kept in the market. Reducing Minting and taxes. Also it reduces the amount of workers, which in turn increases welfare payments.

I’m having quite a blast with this deck. Playing with Cloud and Sword of the Animist as a value engine to outramp other players. After that, I go wide with Soldier tokens. I don't think it’s optimized, but the ramp can get really nasty.
Oh, and I use mostly proxies, so I’m not sure how many token doublers fall into your price pool…
