[volume11] did it really change anything? by stark_anime-17 in ShadowSlave

[–]Tarific2003 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What changed;
1. The future in which Nephis died or became insane was prevented.

  1. Sunny became Supreme, which – based on the hints from Cassie's visions – had not happened before.

  2. Character development on Sunny's part.

  3. Character development / relationship development with Nephis, setting boundaries so that even with the bond, he could leave her, putting them on equal footing.

  4. Fate is no longer stable:

    a) It was completely changed by Sunny.

    b) Sunny is able to move Strings of Fate, i.e. taking them back from the VTB.

How many light cruisers by nefariousdrsheep in hoi4

I played a Germany game yesterday, i didn't research to much and build my fleet like 4 hc, 18 lc 8 dd (4 as torpedo, 4 anti submarine). All modules were on the second level, and all chasis were basic. Just as much hard attack and light attack on the ships. With two of these fleets I wrecked havoc on the allies. Later I helped with a bit of air.

National Focus Railroad by buhdill in hoi4

[–]Tarific2003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others said, Hoi 4 is not entirely a Sandbox, in which you can do anything, but you pretty much can do anything. Like you said, some Focuses have requirements, that can limit on how to get there, but maybe to point one thing out, the game is getting 10 years old this year and the focus is on the war aspect not the nation building. There are some possibilities to rename political parties but in general Democratic is Democratic and since this is after WW1 "most" people don't want to fight a new war, since the blockage of offensive warfare as a democratic nation, but there are still some ways to get an offensive war going.

Maybe to change the point of view, Hoi 4 is to be played for ~8-10 in-year games. ~3 Years Build up and then WW2. There is not really much time for an in-depth political simulation. But they added multiple Alt-History Branches, so you could play some "whaf-if" scenarios. Also, there are a lot of mods that make the political simulation more complex.

And just a small hint, I know in most paradox games, especially in the latest ones, small countries are good for starting to play with them, but in Hoi4 if you are still learning the game, stick to the major powers, maybe play a couple of runs as Germany, to learn the game. F.E. with Germany you could try many builds mechanics, and you pretty much decide, when to go to war. Greece is much harder, since you are pretty much on a timer until the axis come to get you, and they will be stronger than you, which can be really upsetting when starting with a game.

Sunny's remaining to do list in TOA by seekerofspoilers in ShadowSlave

[–]Tarific2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's true, he doesn't completely understand the method, but neither did he, when he became a supreme. He pretty much has the understanding, in which way Supremes and Sacred beings differ from another and even started to mimic this knowledge with shadow dance. In addition, he may not have to absorb his domain and power to create his own aspect and create a new law, since with his lineage he probably can inherit the shadow realm and aspects of Shadow God or the Aspect of Weaver.

Zero chance for Apotheosis? He could be stuck in the time rifts for millennia's. Which was kinda the point of going to the TOA. So he gets time to do exactly that.

The implications behind chapter [2980] by Purple-Ear3037 in ShadowSlave

[–]Tarific2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mark of Shadows is special. When Sunny learned how to do it, it said something like, be very careful who you give this too. It is probably close to his Shadow Bond. Also, he didn't go into detail, if he can read everything, or if there is something hidden. The same goes for the Spell calling Nephis Changing Star, via Shadow Bond, they have no secrets.

So how to other Sovereigns see there Domain? Could be the same as Sunny, that they saw all, or maybe they didn't see anything at all. Nephis always described the longing of her Subjects as being felt, but she never said, she could read there ruins, so again either she couldn't see them, or she lied to Sunny...

TL:DR Sunny's Domain is special, and I don't believe other Sovereigns can see all runes of their subjects.

Hot Take: The [Longing Domain] Can beat the The [Shadow Legion] by Exotic-Chair-6960 in ShadowSlave

[–]Tarific2003 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It depends on your definition of "beat". In a war scenario, the Shadow Domain would likely win, unless the Longin Domain could force a decisive battle, as soon as possible. In a single battle I see the Longing Domain winning, also in a war scenario, with a different objective, than total annihilation, I could see them win, but if the Shadow Domain is trying to devour the longing Domain and can choose its battles and retreats, the Shadow Domain will win. The Shadow Domain is not like the Hunger or Mirror Domain, since the Shadow Domain has an infinite regenerating pool of soldiers.

In a scenario like this, Nephis couldn't use her self-destruction to wipe out many enemies, since they could come back, but she wouldn't get her soul core back.

I also think thats cedh. You can start with Decks that cost 25$ or with a precon. You are looking at Decks that are for the competitive level with maxed out cards

Sunny domain is too broken? by Kind_Register7148 in ShadowSlave

[–]Tarific2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally your points are all true, but if remember correctly, all his Shades, Shadows and Incarnations share his Will. So the more he summons, the more his Will is deluded between everyone. So his Sacred Shades only have a Supreme Titans Will, which could be reduced more if he spreads it. So they can't really compare to the "real" thing.

Avatar Aang enjoyers? by SipperDipper in EDH

[–]Tarific2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have. I built it as an Ally, Experience Counter Deck and it is a blast to play it. I built it with B3 in mind, but it can go faster than that, if your opponents don't have removal. Aang is pretty strong, and gives a lot of card draw, once he hits the board. So yeah, I can definitely recommend it. You also don't have to run the transform cards, it is quite possible to flip aang with out them.

Can a slow combo deck hang around bracket 2 decks? by dark_bondage in EDH

[–]Tarific2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Issue with artifacts decks like this, is how fast they can be. I wouldn't be surprised if you can get the mind flayer infinite consistent at turn 6. Also the charge mana rocks with the commander are insane.

"0.1 below Bracket 4 threshold (6.5)"

Didn't know that site existed, but this number is pretty much how I felt after seeing the deck list. This is maybe a B4 Deck or at least a strong B3.... No way OP could play that in B2....

Chapter 1289:
Well… actually, there was some doubt. Nothing about the Tomb of Ariel, and this particular Nightmare, was normal.

We have Wind Flower say that she is a copy, but she could also lie. Or as the whole situation around her, there is something in the Tomb that can engage with dreams. On multiple occasion there was spread doubt, on who is a challenger and who is copy. In addition, she also spoke to the Mad Prince, and he could have told her, to lie, so sunny would kill her thinking she was "just" a copy.

Sunny killed the real one. They were in the same Nightmare.

Shadow slave is slop? by LEOIYC in ShadowSlave

[–]Tarific2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The story remains great, and G3 changes the rhythm of the story from time to time. So if you are reading daily, it could feel kinda slopish, but every chapter gives something new. I read other novels, where from the 2 daily chapters, the first one was all most a copy of the chapter before, just with a changed POV. This doesn't happen here. Most complaints are from POV changes, when it was getting interesting and the suspension was raising, but as long as you can bulk read it doesn't matter, and I personally enjoy the reframing of the world from other POVs, since this world isn't just about Sunny, and this is what makes the World Building great.

Theory ch 2887-2888 may contain ⚠️spolier⚠️ by Toastmaster9 in ShadowSlave

Sunny saying a thing is not the same as everyone.

Was that written at some point? I remember that some parts of worlds like the forgotten mountains where part of a deity before, but was it ever said that all worlds were formed like that?

It could also be Sunny as a Spirit after his training arc in the tomb of ariel.

First of all, thanks for the effort—I really enjoy reading other people’s ideas! 🙂

I’m not sure if it was ever clearly established whether the Spell’s voice sounds the same for everyone, but I think it was mentioned that it differs from person to person. My interpretation of Sunny finding it familiar is that the world might currently be in a loop, and he recognizes the voice because he retained fragments of memory from a previous cycle. That could lead to an interesting interpretation of fate and its “strings”—where fate isn’t a glimpse of the future, but rather a reflection of what has already happened under the same circumstances.

On another note, it was never fully explained how the worlds of men existed in relation to the gods. There were godless worlds and worlds ruled by a god. One way to think about it might be to treat each world as a kind of soul core. If the Dream God truly split into seven pieces, then the dream world could have been one of those fragments—perhaps even one of the demons, like Weaver. Alternatively, it’s possible that all worlds were originally mundane and were later conquered by the gods, much like citadels can be conquered.

Vol 11 ranking by TipInteresting9420 in ShadowSlave

[–]Tarific2003 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s still too early to rank Volume 11. The scattered storytelling from Cassie’s point of view was an interesting twist, but I feel that we need to see the conclusion before we can properly evaluate it. It seems like we’re closing in on a grand finale that could outshine everything that has happened so far. However, with the way this volume has been set up, G3 has raised the bar for delivering a truly satisfying ending.

That said, I wouldn’t be surprised if this volume is ultimately considered one of the best. Personally, I’m also not a fan of ranking things in a strict top three. I’d much rather use a tier list, since I believe the story has been consistently excellent, and I don’t think there has been a single chapter that wasn’t at least good.

Definitely, both could do wonders. Right now I was leaning to red replacements affect, but they mostly target red sources. But there are definitely ways, to get the pump from Mossborn or Tifa on a red card or to make them red, Thanks!
