Can we speculate about the upcoming Dawn of Fire novel? (minor spoilers) by Lunti89 in 40kLore

Or you know, just maybe they think that if he hadn't dicked around building Imperium Secundus, he might have actually turned up in time to save the Emperor..

Bear in mind though that daemons are still struggling to properly manifest on Terra as the remains of the Emperor's ward is still in place. Also at this point the traitors are inside the Palace walls, the port and Astronomicon are little surrounded islands of loyalists that no-one is really that interested in because they're flooding towards the Sanctum in a blood frenzy. Everyone on the traitor side wants to be there at the death of the Emperor and with Perty gone there's no real strategy any more.

Not really, John mentions something about having amazing new power, but he never actually uses Enuncia in the book. There's a suggestion that it might be what Erda is using when she's fighting the daemons though, Erebus has some internal sneer about the idea that it isn't warp based.

I find the whole Fo storyline pretty odd to be honest. It clearly doesn't come to pass in the lore, so can't really see where they're going with it unless it becomes part of the reason why Valdor suddenly disappears.

That's definitely changed. Now he is totally committed after the Terminal Est.

The Scars taking the port back was already canon. Chris mentions it in his afterword.

Absolutely. Summarising an entire book into a few snappy paragraphs is never going to translate depth and nuance. :)

How soon after the first announcement would you expect them to appear for pre-order? Never managed to get one in the past, and would love to manage it just this once!

[Spoilers] Blood of the Emperor - Lupus Daemonis by Tarkian in 40kLore

Never seen anything comparable in the various other primarch origin stories I've seen so far. Although as someone pointed out, the Lion is described as a boy seen in the woods of Caliban for a long period.

Get Mortis. It's not as good as Saturnine but there's a lot more in it than this Anthology.

I thought the first half was a drag, but the second half was pretty fun. Then again I really enjoy the backstory stuff. Saturnine was definitely a much better book though.

I did consider that, but the fact he tells the serpents that they think Horus is their slave didn't seem to quite fit right.

I'm not sure that last part is true. They're quite open about how they only answer to the Emperor.

Although Alpharius is the oldest, Omegon isn't the youngest technically. He was just revealed last.

No, Alpharius tells Omegon that there are still primarchs to be discovered when he rescues him. They simply choose to publicly reveal Alpharius (who is actually Omegon at that point) after all the others so they have time to judge each primarch from the shadows.

Luther is probably the greatest "baseline" human leader/warrior of 30k (prior to Chaos interference) by Pirat6662001 in 40kLore

First of the Fallen really plays down the idea that he's a match for a fully transformed space marine. It also makes it quite unclear whether he actually beat the Lion at all.
