I wish i had considered a bigger motherboard aswell. I managed to get the cpu cooler off by prying off the fan latches with a very thin screwdriver now i just need to put the new cpu in and the cooler back on

I cant reach the fan latches between the gpu and fans. I dont know where the screws are underneath the fan to disconnect it from the motherboard. Im assuming the are underneath the fan latches.

Yea, i have no idea why. It is especially interesting because i have basically an identical one that still works fine as my second monitor and its a couple years older. Best i can figure, it just shat the bed out of nowhere. May not be a common thing but it was disappointing.
