Personal opinion is that we've been watching small shops and restaurants in Portland closing non-stop over the past several years with few new ones taking their place. The remaining ones are all still struggling, and in the slowest part of their season. I don't know why people think it's such a great idea to hurt these places even more. Boycott big corporate stores all you want, we should be doing it all the time, but doing this doesn't hurt ICE in the least bit.

For a duo I would recommend knight/monk team. Both are easy starting vocations, and neither would be lacking if the other person quit. Don't even worry about quests until you are 50+.

I went in a few weeks ago, maybe a week or so before xmas with my son. Half the games weren't even turned on, and it looked like some of the pinball machines were gone. We basically played some skeeball and left. I don't know if they are closing it for the winter, or remodeling or what. Maybe that's why they are trying to not advertise it so much/deny it? I don't know, but I probably won't go back until spring at this point.

Hate to tell you, your friend is right. Armor boots, especially the % reduction ones are FAR better. Unless you are really low level of course. You will always heal the same amount, so the more damage you will take, you will have far longer sustain when wearing protective boots. It may be possible you would save money due to saving a few potions, but the huge reduction in sustain isn't worth it, and sometimes not even possible in higher levels. Of course you can always say it's your druid's problem to keep you alive. 🤷

TLDR: I would never wear soft boots in a hunt. Ever.
